I lived in Chelsea when I was a student. Unless anything has changed, the only two postcodes that encompass Chelsea are S.W.3 & S.W.10. NOT S.W.6
Sorry to disagree Ensil, but Chelsea don't actually own their own name, so they'd have to consult the Chelsea Pitch Owners about keeping the name, if they were to relocate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelsea_Pitch_Owners Of course you're right about Arsenal. Sorry.
To be honest I never went to the Cottage in the 90s so would never know. Haven't been there for a good few years now but even then you would still hear the anti-Chelsea songs etc which are pretty much heard everywhere i.e West Ham, Arsenal etc. Back in the old days it wasn't uncommon for people to go Chelsea one week and then Fulham the next when Chelsea were playing away. Fulham have evolved into a top side and I look forward to our matches with them as they tend to be close, I shall be going on Boxing Day and hopefully for the return game at the Cottage. Never been to a Fulham/Chelsea game before so it should be quite good, missed out twice in recent years due to work (home and away) and in both cases we won 2-1. Fulham usually get really up for it when we play which adds to the occasion as Chelsea's away support is always top class, it was as loud as I've heard the Cottage last time we played you in that evening kick off
Fair point that there used to be a time where a lot of fans would go to watch Fulham one week and Chelsea the next. Some Fulham fans did that too. As to everyone singing anti-Chelsea songs, we've been doing it for a lot longer than most. Most Fulham fans didn't like Chelsea long before you became rich and generally unpopular! There are a few exceptions, mostly among the generation that did the alternate saturdays thing, but most Fulham fans of all generations would tell you that Chelsea are our traditional rivals. Evidence for that is in your own comment - Fulham usually get really up for it when we play you. I'm gutted that we're playing you on Boxing Day though - I'm likely to be up at my in-laws in Lancashire, and was hoping for an away game against Wigan, Everton, etc somewhere over the Christmas/New Year period.
I think you'll find that that particular sobriquet is one you have applied to yourselves. And, funnily enough, is used only by yourselves.
You really don't want to know what I think about Chelsea. Luckily for you, you have now been surpassed in the "most detested" stakes by Manufactured ****ty. Who, I think is now most peoples' hate target.
if there was a city of london club think about the other citys too. Manchester, liverpool, birmingham. Plus none of tottenhams,QPR players would get in.
