I have put obvious wums on ignore - ‘obvious’ to me that is - short-term, when their bullshittery is off the map. It just gets tedious to wade through….

? I don’t tolerate racism. I don’t tolerate anything that breaks the site rules.

If I don’t see these things then I won’t be able to do anything about them. I’m not anle to read every post. If someone hits “report” then it’ll be flagged. If it’s flagged I’ll act on it.

I also have no access to any pm.

Simply saying 'I'm not a racist' is enough to have some people condemn you a racist.

Any failure to agree with anything and everything BLM, Anti-racism or whatever say is proof that you're a racist.

Preferring the company of Italians over French makes you a racist.

    No discussion is allowed ...

... dare to disagree, in any way, with the self elected morally superior and you're eternally branded with a big R on your forehead.

If you, as a Mod, fail to keep up with the agenda then you're condoning racism.

Sorry to be so blunt mate but I don't make the rules.

I don't have anyone on 'Ignore', and until this thread I didn't know how it was done.
Not that I need to know.
I believe though that I am on at least on posters list.
My somewhat over satirical approach probably got the better of me, and no doubt I deserved it.
I have though done my best to bear the shame without it affecting my mental health.

When engaging in debates, my main interest lies, not with those who agree with me, but with those that don't.
They are the ones most likely to teach me something new.
They have as much right as I have to hold their views, so why do they feel the way they do.
IF i were to ignore then I'll never find out.

    Some wise person once said...

"Life is too short to stuff a mushroom"

Translating that to a forum's posters... I enjoy arguing with others about the trials and tribulations of supporting our Beloved Sunderland.

If nothing much is going on footballwise I quite enjoy debating contentious issues, eg racism, woke.

However as indicated in the second sentence, I have a couple of 'ignores' cos life is easier that way.

It would be a bit of harmless fun if those on ignore appeared under your avatar <laugh>

If I recall correctly comm and another poster had a disagreement a couple of months back and comm took a break. Always got on well with the guy (I know he can divide opinions at time) so hope he comes back a bit. I think it does many well to have a break now and again.

It was probably Sucky. They seemed to be forever clashing. I'm not sure what started it but there's a lot of animosity there.

Wooly! I'm going into Liverpool city centre today for a day on the booze. I spend a lot of time over this way now so if you can ever get yourself out for a pint one day just give me a shout.

    Ah that'll have been it.

Sucky is a funny one, he loves the drama. He'll pop onto a thread when the drama seems to be dying down, post one or two comments then grab the popcorn. He's been a fan of some of your comments, he's sound and has perfected his method.

Love Liverpool drinking, also worked above Ego on Hope Street and used to love the time out. I don't really get out now tbh (young kids) but if it changes it'd be grand, I barely even remember what going out for a drink is!

He come over to this board with his comments about Adam Johnson and how we support child abuse etc. I reported him straightaway and had him banned from this place. He went through a period of being obsessed with us. Like you say, he's a funny one.

I'm out with my old man and his mates so we just stick to the older bars near Central. It's always a good crowd and a good day out. I'll have to take it easy tbh, I'm still feeling the effects of covid and only tested negative for the first time yesterday.
