I wish you guys would put people on ignore, it would save me getting a call and poking my nose around your board.
I've actually changed certain opinions, and apologised a few times, on here if the argument has been convincing and honest. What I always ignore is when people start posting huge articles, from the media source that appears to back them up, which is countered by a media source that totally contradicts them. When that happens the two sides will claim the other posters source is a conspiracy and that they should do some 'proper research'. That proper research is inevitably some crank, from another forum, who claims he has absolute proof ... ... but can't post it because of the Official Secrets Act or some other claptrap. It just goes around in circles until two posters are left hoying up 'evidence' and everyone else goes off to post about Salma Hayek
Exactly. I too have changed viewpoint - and rather than feel aggrieved that someone has shown me to be wrong, I value that I have in fact been educated. We are never too old to learn and develop
I agree and disagree mate. People shouldn't have to do that every time some clown posts under a different username and comes on specifically to disrupt the place. Some even boast that they only drop onto here in order to wind everyone up and don't actually contribute. If they're deliberately spoiling the board i think you and the Mods should do their job and stop them coming on here. Oh, Happy New Year, while you're on.
If I was to do my job as you highlight it, you wouldn't be on here, because you are as bad as the rest, when it comes to being gobby behind the keyboard. The other posters don't have Gordon to protect them but I hear he's good mates with you, so you get away with more than most. Happy New to you as well.
Not on here... yet On the board that shouldn't be mentioned I have Duracel battery boy. I have never had an argument with someone then thought "that's it, onto ignore you go".
He rarely posts now, Vince. He come on for a couple days about one week ago but before that he'd not posted for about two month.
That's nonsense but I wouldn't expect you to recognise that tbh. The only time I'm 'gobby' is in direct response to the idiots who come on to disrupt the place, including those you protect. I know you'll dismiss that but it couldn't be more obvious. When they're not around the forum is a much happier place and most of the threads go along without any bother. And, what exactly is it that I 'get away with' ...

Absolute drivel. I only ever respond in kind which is exactly what I've just done with you. But just like the handful of posters who can't handle retaliation you'd rather cry about it than step back and think.
Proves my point exactly. A topical thread, that targeted no one on here, yet you jump straight in with sarcasm and face palms plus a total misquote of what I'd said.. Typical of the way you 'debate' a subject. Even then, I ignored you the first time and didn't retaliate which proves another point. You started to insult me by saying I'm a caveman, etc, then expect courtesy in return Many other people posted, without any problem, and it was a very popular thread. Why not post better threads, if you don't like these, and keep things moving with your wit and wisdom.
Only one in response to the bad run a few weeks ago. Got frustrated at the negativity of one poster and pressed ignore suppose I should clear that now. Like to read well constructed discussion but when poison sets in I skim read till common sense is restored. This is a very good site with respect shown generally and a pleasure to be associated with. Thanks.

Ironically as you always seem to wish to be ... ... before you start with the totally predictable infantile insults and flounce off. I've openly praised Gordon, many times on here ... ... why wouldn't I, he's a good lad who I'm happy to call a mate. This is one of the best forums and Gordon contributes to that. If you have so little time for him why don't you ask one of your clique to moderate. I don't need my arse wiping by anyone at all, if you were more even handed I wouldn't have to respond in the first place. Despite many a run in with folk on here ive never once put anybody on ignore. I just choose to try and avoid speaking to them in future when possible.
Sorry mate i was taking a break from here last month. They are both doing fine thankyou, they were 9 last month believe it or not. They are growing up too fast! It was really nice having them for Xmas eve and Xmas day this year. The only downside was i missed spending time with them between Xmas and new year. Ill be bringing them to the SOL after Xmas, so ill bring them with me for a cheeky pint if you can make the same match.
