Chopwell! Did a lot of my growing up there, I went to school in High Spen and most of my friends were from Chopwell. Plus the pubs all let you drink from the age of 14 if they knew you.
Playing golf yesterday and noticed the amount of carts driving around. Granted that a lot of the members at my local course are older and use the carts as they can't walk 18 holes but it got me thinking. Most carts nowadays are electric and get re charged after every/2nd round. How hard would it be for them to be manufactured with or have a solar panel fitted to the roof? They'd never need recharging then. How many electric golf carts get used daily around the world?
…. on a similar note, if solar panels on the roof are so great, why is building new houses/buildings not conditional on having them built in to start with ?
I think you'll find that they are in some places. I've heard that some places out here insist on solar panels and rainwater tanks with new builds.
Been a gripe of mine for years this. All new build houses should have solar and grey water systems as standard. And we should be all in for hempcrete instead of concrete an all. You would see an inital price rise for new developments but worth it in the long run imo.
