Just seen a pic of him holding the olympic flag... **** me he's looking his age now. And I'm not even taking the ****e beard into consideration.
Psycho me bollix, Pearce is a pussy. Euro '92 England vs France step forward Basil Boli with an unprovoked headbutt on Pearce. Cue John Motson '' ooh i say, he's done that to the wrong person. They don't call him psycho for nothing.'' Well good old psycho pissed off back down to his own end of the pitch clutching his face and didnt come forward again for the rest of the half
Neither Pearce or Boli turned up for the after match meal. Boli's never been seen again but Pearce turned up shortly afterwards looking a little plump...
Finally read the BBC article and I see the three over aged players are Micah Richards, Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy. I reckon David Beckham would have got more people interested than all three of those put together
As a Galaxy season ticket holder what really makes him a player isn't his crossing or his free kicks. It's his motivation and heart to win, dude will run himself into the ground for his team every game no matter the circumstances. He also had a few good seasons at Real and had 16 assists in the MLS last year plus at least 3 in the play offs for the Galaxy. So I don't think he's living off his United days.
Yeah but in fairness he didn't even moan about it or roll around like a big girl he just wandered off to plot revenge as GCoS points out...where is Boli? I've not seen him since although I hear Pearce has a nice patio nowadays
Awful decision. Beckham was one of the reasons we have the games in the first place. Craig Bellamy though? Why exactly?
The truth is he's one of Sarkozy's political campaigners >vote for Nicolas >non >bump >merde , oui oui
No we shouldn't. He always played with his heart on his sleeve for us, and literally carried the England team for a few years. Always amuses me when people discredit him. Real Madrid and ac Milan certainly don't agree...
He was very dignified in his response to being left out. Unlike Rio. And he must've done a lot of air miles to sit on the England bench in recent years, whereas some players didn't even want to be on stand-by if they weren't going to get a game. Wasn't Micah Richards one of those? The Olympics got discredited when they let professionals in and this is just another example of superstars wanting another bauble for their collections at the expense of people who train hard for one moment every four years. We won't win it anyway so he's better off out of it and being a face for the whole event, which Coe will make sure of. More chance of him still being in it at the end than Team GB.
Agreed. So Richards is playing instead... Makes you think; if Richards was classy enough to accept a backup place at the Euros then maybe everyone would be happy... Just a thought
