    Now you are getting petty...

what is that meant to prove........?

Okay if your tema are that much better why are are only 6 points behind if you win your games in hand???

i could turn round and say well Dalla Valle, belongs to a Premiership side therefore has to get into your team?

i could also say Pugh has scored and assisted in more goalds than Lallana therefore he is better, but i know that is not true........

Not getting petty mate - you know from history ive agreed and backed you often!

It was a response to your comment ---

Big squad but a lot of cack....................

    Jaidi is shocking..........
    ------------------------------------------

I was simply pointing out that our squad is 'ON PAPER' better! And come the end of the season we will see who is above who. Even you admit Bournemouth have over achieved!

I just bit back at someone who is saying our squad is CACK - an immature, unintelligent comment! Its clear our squad is a good one come on!

We haven't got the best squad in the League, but it's a damn sight better than Boscombe's.

Yes i do believe we have the best squad.

In terms of if we finish second...... do we still have the best squad.... in my opinion yes!

Does that mean i believe our squad has been the best????? Not at all!

Our team on paper should win this league and to be fair i am pretty sure we wont. But i stand by my choice. We do have the best starting 11 in particular in this league, and when fully fit, our bench is solid too.

Just because we dont win the league, has no reflection on if i think we have the best squad. Theres sooo many factors. New managers, luck, postponments, weather, referees, skill etc! Teams with the same squad this year than last year have perfromed so different, but tat doesnt mean their squad is better or worse

I take it you think Brighton? I wouldnt disagree fully, but i just couldnt see many other teams not wanting our squad over theres. Thats all :)

I would say we have the best first team in the league but as we have seen a few times this season we have few options when players get injured. Even at the moment we have no central midfield cover and I have no idea what we would do if Chaplow or Hammond were to get injured or suspended now. I think it was a massive mistake releasing 13 players, some of who I would definitely have kept (Lloyd James, Gillett, Wayne Thomas) and replacing them with a few players

A squad is only as good as the engine running down the spine. At times this season we have failed to perform to our fullest and this is usually when other teams have got in our faces. We have a team full of skillfull players but too often they have shown a soft underbelly. The one thing I think we have really missed is a midfield general. Somebody that can take a game by the scruff of the neck and push our team forward. Both Hammond and Chaplow can get the odd tackle in but they are nowhere near to being what we need now or when/if we make it up to the CCC. Both have the odd great game but neither in my opinion are foolproof.

Yes we do have the best squad in the League , have done since Leeds went up last season - it's putting it into practice which makes it so good , something Adkins has done extremely well imo.

The real test of how far we've come will be these final 12 games.

I think you have the best squad, but you have to fear peterborough
Amazing how well brighton have done wouldnt of thought it would happen
It is down to there manager
I think if you had adkins at the start of the season then I think you would be top of the league by now
But if peterbrough had fegie from the start of the season they may have been top of the league

Trouble with releasing those players wasn't the releasing of them but the failure to bring in suitable players for the job. When Nigel took over we were in a mess and won't really have any idea of how good he is until next season after he has restructured our squad/team.
I am not over confident at the moment with the players he has brought in so far. Forte and N'Guessan have not as of yet shown enough for me. Chaplow is adequate for this league but whether he is good enough for a higher standard is debatable.

I see it as incredibly short-sighted to base the ability of a squad upon league positioning. We had the utmost turbulence of a drawn out manager turn-over, with heavily suggested unrest behind the scenes. If I could take any players from this league for our squad, I would have CMS up front with Barnard and I would have the Brighton right back, as he is simply outstanding. For me, however, we beat everyone else in every position. Lallana must be in the top five players outside the premier league, bit I suppose this cannot be fully justified until he plays at the next level. Perhaps we were gung-ho with our releases in the summer, but our four full backs must all be in the top six or seven in the league, we have the best keeper, two best wingers and two of the top three forwards. Our centre midfielders, I believ, could be giving a little bit more talent wise, yet anyone in this league would have them. Gobern, with experience, will most likely replace either Chaplow or Hammond over the next two years, unless our midfield is revamped by then. Brighton were dominated, Peterborough destroyed then held, Bournemouth comprehensively beaten three times, Huddersfield humiliated. We then lose to Walsall, Brentford, Dagenham and Redbridge, as these teams came with game plans, were committed, and to be perfectly honest our confidence in some of these losses was low before the game kicked off. Adkins in September would have put us top of the league. No disrespect towards some decent sides in this league, but I would take our squad firmly over theirs any day, but in some cases would take select players.
