Exactly motivating 18 year olds who are happy enough to have a contract is a lot different to telling grown men earning tens of thousands of pounds a week that they need to buck their idea's up. It's ludicrous assumption from some of fans that this will solve our problems, he was hosting a radio show a couple of years back! It screams out Bryan Gunn too much for me, what a bunch of ****ing amateurs we have at this club.
Personally I think we were very unlikely to get any points out of the last few games with Hughton in charge. I think with Adams I always thought he made a lot of sense when commentating. At least we know that if things are going against us he will make substitutions at around 60 mins rather than waiting until 85 then bring on a defender when 1-0 down
I'm not at all sure that this is a wise move, but I do trust McNally and the Board to make the right decision. It's a big gamble, but it might just pay off.
Quote from an article from DM in today's EDP - “First things first we need to get through to the end of the season and cement our position in the Premier League. We need to do that above all other things,” he said. “Really it is up to Neil now to make sure he is the manager for the long term. We know results will dictate whether that happens or not. Let’s get through to May 12 and take things from there. I am sure Neil has a role and a significant one here for many years to come. If it is the big job in the longer term that is entirely up to Neil and the results. From watching a couple of the Youth FA Cup games last season, the answer's a resounding 'NO'. Not sure what to expect re team selection etc, but wouldn't be surprised to see some players CH ignored at least on the bench. Just seen this on the EDP website - "Norwich City club captain Russell Martin revealed Neil Adams had already made a huge first impression on his first day in charge of the Canaries." “The ones who had not been featuring recently now have a chance to impress the new manager, regardless of whether he has come from inside the building or not. He has been watching the games, he knows the strengths and weaknesses and I am sure he has some ideas on the style of play and formations. Whenever you get a new man in it creates a fresh impetus. He’s said he will make a few changes and if you are not on board you will be out the side.” Full article here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...ull_support_of_norwich_city_s_squad_1_3532057 Roll on Saturday
I am open minded to this change, although I do not expect a lot in reality. It had reached the point where we had to do something for sure, not sure this was the right call but I would be very happy to be proved wrong.
