I will be delighted to go up and hopefully show the rest of the Premiership how it should be done. No, I don't mean we are going to win the league! I mean that we will set an example of how a club should be run. I can't imagine that we will put up with prima-donnas, but will develop our own talent. We will run on a proper business footing and not mortgage our future as Pompey did. How far that takes us in terms of final position, I don't know. There will always be clubs without the financial prudence and deep pockets to outspend us, but I will enjoy seeing some of the worlds best players gracing the turf at St Marys......and hopefully taking a few high profile scalps on the way. It what we have always done at Saints!
Seems like Adkins can't win, if he takes us up, we don't deserve promotion. If we don't go up, he's not up to the job. I really do wonder sometimes
Love Rickie's attitude. It is exactly how we should all be thinking: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17664462
30 goals will be some achievement!Fingers crossed he makes it. 4 goals in 4 games or he can get them all on Friday!
We'll have to wait and see about that CF. Am I right in thinking they've just posted a 15m loss down at StFairies? Wages being 93% of turnover? Hmmm...... With the Premier League to come.
Wishful thinking on your part if you think we are in trouble. Our finance director said we've spent less than expected so far from the money set aside to get us back in the PL. Cortese always said that we wouldn't make money until we were in the top flight.
Can you not read?, that was the accounts for when we were in div 1 with a championship team playing in div 1 , so of course the wages will be high. Yes some wages have increased, but so has the amount of money coming in. You should worry about Pompey tbh. If Saints had 93% what is Pompey wages to turnover percentage.
Indeed it isn't, but let's take one game at a time™. Jeez, even I realise I'm beginning to read like a typing Nigel Adkins phrase book.
I have supported the club through relegation from the Premier League and the dark days of administration and League One football and NEVER got on the backs of the players or managers, (although I do admit to singing a derogatory song about our rosy cheeked, duck hunting ex Chairman)...So the answer to your question is, YES, I do deserve the Prem.
