As I said they may not have to bother destroying Manchester United..They are doing a fine job of it themselves. I would warm my heart immensely if Ferguson,Robson and Giggs all ended up in prison for a long stretch. If Ferguson became a convicted crinimal, thats his knighthood gone.He would just be plain old Alcie Fergiscum. If they put Bobby Charlton behind bars...I would be ecstatic.
How actually are players private lives going to destroy Man Utd? Also how are the revelations about Robson going to destroy Man Utd? I'm genuinely interested to know.
Its not just Robson...The Govan Gob is involved too. He's going down for a long spell. How is going to manage United from Broadmoor?
Don't bother.KPR is a WUM of the lowest order who drags his knuckles when he walks. He put's genuine liverpool supporters to shame.
Man Utd Vs. Liverpool in 2 pages... C'mon guys we're slipping. I was expecting this after 6 replies. How silly do I look
KPR is not a Liverpool supporter He is a Cork supporter, who liked Liverpool when they were the best team in the mid 80s He is a plastic, glory hunter.
Stop talking about ****ing Manchester United. Pepe, talk about something else. United fans stop bloody biting please log in to view this image In relation to the article. I do trust them thus far- we don't have a choice. Only time will tell.
I never really had any concerns about them in the first place given their track record with the red sox and any faint doubts were swept away when the money from the Torres and Babel sales was swiftly reinvested. They could have quite easily sat on that money ,like the glaziers did when Ronaldo (spit) was sold for 80 mill. But the fact they overpaid on Carrol because of the circumstances the traitor Torres left us in,just shows that they mean business.I believe that the reported £80 million available to Kenny was about spot on.We have spent £46 million of it so I reckon there may well be 2 more signings and then perhaps one under the radar big name that no one saw coming....but i don't know who.
Nobody knows who ithe signings are...if any signings. That is the ''Liverpool way'' Its the best way, there were two signings made when we least expected them, when Kenny and Liverpool are ready to pounce..they will.
Hicks and Gillet already had a lot of fans of previous clubs who disliked them, as well as a failed sporting venture or two. The fact that this wasn't raised when we were sold to them is appalling. FSG however have an excellent track record with the Red Sox, and unlike Hicks and Gillet who only released tripe from their mouths from the moment they joined ('Snoogy Doogy' for example) Henry and co. have been nothing but class in everything they've done. I don't think they could ahve impressed me in so many ways if they weren't genuinely the right guys for the club. Also they haven't broken any promises. If they think they might not be able to deliver then they say 'we can't promise that, but we're doing our best to find a solution', and that's much more useful to us fans. So i'd agree Bozz that, whilst we may have to wait so that the history books can catch up, nobody can deny they've so far stuck to their word and are doing great things for us.
You cannot break promises if you don't make any. FSG have promised to not make promises.(You know what I mean even if that sounds strange) They said ''Judge us on what we do...not what we say''.
Our doubters have recently, Predicted we'd be relegated=wrong Predicted we'd be in the hands of recievership and administration=wrong Predicted that our new owners never had the money or any intention to invest in LFC=wrong What our protractors wish for and get are very different. The old myth that we never tire of saying "next year is our year" is BS,But there is always next year "could" be our year for an improved finishing league position,Nothing wrong with a little positivity in the wake of what our club has been through in recent years. But we're happy with the progress shown under KK's managership and a top 4 finish next season would be brilliant for us to build on.
The whole point of our transfer policy is that these players HAVE been proven. Where have you been exactly?
You can't really judge the Carroll deal and if you are i'd like to ask who you'd have signed instead. Henderson - i'll give you that but if he performs well enough to make the first team for the next 7-8 years then £20m will be seen as good business Downing - has proven himself in his position, £20m is a bit steep but he was Villa's players of the year last season ahead of a certain Ashley Young who was signed for a similar figure by Man Utd. £20m for a 26 year old who is the best in his country in his position isn't that bad. Adam - £7.5m for a player whose "corners alone are worth £10m" according to a leading industry figure. sounds like good business and then we managed to get money for Koncheskey (which no-one was expecting), a 7 figure fee for a player who has never kicked a ball for us (Mavinga) and if reports are correct then we may still sell Poulson for cash when any club with half a brain would probably be better off loaning him from us with a purchase agreement based on performances
I see an inflated opinion of your own unproven contentions. Can't really applaud you. Claiming FSG are bad owners now is way, way too late. You want dates we proved other fans wrong? Oct 2010 - Rival fans claim administration beckons. Oct 2010 - Rival fans predict FSG are not billionaires so won't spend. Oct 2010: Rival fans claim relegation is a certainty. Jan 2011: Rival fans say Kenny has been out of the game too long. Jan 2011: Rival fans claim Suarez will not sign because we don't have Champions League football. We blame other fans for perpetuating the myth that we say, "Next year is our year." That "semi-good" squad got the 2nd best form of the 2nd half of the season. So if that's 'semi-good' you'd better fear what we'll do with 'good'. Need I go on? No, I need not. Case proven.
MFG. My point exactly. I got the same thing from Man United fans where I live.Liverpool were going to be deducted 9 points and at one stage were going to be on -3.However none of these people had heard of a legally binding agreement which is known as a ''Contract of Employment''.One that was given to Sir Martin Broughton.Liverpools favourite Chelsea fan.I also heard that ''Liverpool replaced one set of dodgey Americans with another set of dodgey Americans''. They know that...how?Others will tell you that FSG and their members which is more than Tom Werner and JWH are stinking rich. This is what shot Hicks in the foot. This is what ensured the sale went through. Then it was relegation. Then it was ''Kenny is a bottler''.''He won't last five minutes''.When he did well it was ''Its a honeymoon period'' ''He was managing under no pressure'',''Wait til next season starts''.''He won't last a whole season because he'll quit''.Can I have next weeks lottery numbers. Nobody has a clue and most of it is mere speculation.
my opinion on FSG so far is that they seem like very good owners they have been clear and honest about their plan's for the club and seem to have a genuine interest in sports in general. I wouldn't say i completely trust them yet especially after H+G who spent during their first summer in charge as well which i think makes us a bit more apprehensive about trusting FSG just yet as in the words of George dubya fool me once shame on you, fool me twice you can't get fooled again. But all i can say about them is so far so good and if they keep there good work going over a decent period of time then i think they will eventually win the complete trust of our fan's.
