Ozil is good. He was very good at the start last year but wasn't as great towards the end. He thrives best playing those through balls into the fast wingers/striker. Doesn't help Walcott being injured and Giroud up front. Hard to shine a a creative player when Giroud and Sanogo are your options infront of you!

Oxo-Chamberlain is a good player in my opinion. Runs with the ball, good close control. Obviously can improve a lot but think he could be a good attacking midfielder in a few years.

Basically you made this article of your opinion and posed us the question?

No stats to back up anything you said and half the players in the list aren't midfielders. Poor article.

Well are we judging on best historical form, reputation, and potential or what the player has to offer if put (injury-free) into a team next weekend?

"could be a good attacking midfielder in a few years"... Sterling could be the best player in the league in a few years. Right now he's only top 10 or so.

I'm just working on my article entitled "Is Glen Johnson the best defender in the league". I'll be expecting lots of constructive and insightful debate. I expect Astrowotsit will produce a series of statistics and screen grabs to "prove" that he actually is the best defender in the league, nay the world, nay the history of the game.

Top ten best players in the league right now?

    Aguero
    RVP
    Rooney
    Hazard
    Yaya
    Ozil
    Sanchez
    Ramsey
    Fabregas
    Kompany

Ten players just off the top of my head.

Now top ten players in his position? Yeah I would agree, but never ever top ten best player in the league, he's not even the best player in our own team.

  10. Can't see you getting much response since we pretty much all think Glen's ****, Astro might even help you out to prove it. Anyway, good luck with it <ok>

Don't think you can include Sanchez yet when he's not shown what he can do in the PL <ok>

The rest I'd agree with though

  13. A top ten list is impossible, far too many different types of players offering different qualities. Each person as a difference of opinion on what is more important too

Any of those 10 ahead of Sturridge <whistle>

Kompany is complicated to compare but anyone whose job was to score and create goals can get the **** behind Sturridge

That's not a 1 to 10 list :p just players off the top of my head which were better. Sturridge is probably our best player now.

On Sanchez, he proved at Barca his quality, yeah he hasn't shown it in the Prem as he's just started but on what I've seen he's better than Sterling right now.

So you are arguing Sturridge is the best striker in the Prem ATM?

Aguero and RVP (when fit) are better strikers.

But Sturridge wasn't in that list at all...
The 2nd top scorer in the Prem isn't one of the best 4 forwards in the league?

    Based on what?

Sturridge was also injured but still came 2nd in the season to Suarez and remains top in goals scored in 2014

If ATM means form then it's not even in question

I really don't like this argument of assuming perfect fitness and form for other players (RVP, Aguero) based on their historical peak performance. A fully fit Sturridge gets 40 goals last season.

We could, but don't even need to, get into the fact that Sturridge is also the player who for the last 2 seasons has scored the most result-changing goals (goals in losing or drawing position).

But this is literally just me thinking what players are better, do you want me to re edit my list to include Sturridge? :p

My top ten lost would probably be:

    1. Aguero
    2. Silva
    3. Kompany
    4. RVP
    5. Mata
    6. Sturridge
    7. Yaya
    8. Hazard
    9. Ozil
    10. Ramsey

Again, just a quick thought if that. If I was to sit down properly and think my list would be different.
