Last time I was in Portsmouth saw a girl at front of queue waiting to get in night club knocked out by a bloke,, her mate swung her handbag at the fellow so he knocked her out too then did a runner. If your in Newport you could go and watch saints and pompy alternately ,,evidently my dad and his brothers used to to bike down to fraction park when saints were away. ,,this being before the war I may add,,is it still the case that the two teams don't play home games at same time ?

. My brother is a pompey fan and he used to watch both teams on alternate Saturdays at one time. The difference was that you could walk up to the gate and buy a ticket for quite a small sum. Not many people could afford to watch football at two Championship sides these days or, tbf, want to.Would rather get married again rather than watch pompy ,,,eeerrr hang on may have to rethink that one as I've come over all funny at that thought at least match only 90 minutes

As a kid, when Saints were playing away on Saturday, the local Southern Soccer game televised the next day would be from the Pompey match, the previous day. I knew quite a few of the Pompey players names back then...eg. Ray Pointer, Eoin Hand, Mike Trebilcock, etc...
