You have to remember, English isn't his first language. For "wish", read "hope" and it makes a lot more sense. They clearly have yet to decide.
I hope we get him. I don't think there's any doubt about the amount of effort we would get from a player who considered playing for City to be "a chance of a lifetime".
Remy has managed to pick up an injury. QPR will be assessing him (could be like Aluko where he plays and then needs longer out) and working out if they need to bring a replacement in or not before letting Campbell go.
I suspect it's this weekend's game that is the main concern. Zamora should be back for next week (he's listed as doubtful for this weekend) so if Remy was injured and they'd let Campbell go they'd only have had Bothroyd available. (I'm not sure Hulse could get down the tunnel to make it onto the pitch).
If they cant let DJ go because of injury will they let him go out on emergency loan? If they did that might better for us anyway.
It's a short term injury situation (unless Remy turns out to be knackered), they need to have someone for the bench this weekend. It'll be sorted by the end of the window, and we dont have a meaningful game before then. (I wonder if certain transfers are why we've arranged Derby for a couple of weeks time rather than this coming midweek like other clubs have with their rearranged games)
