I like a nice flattened bark pattern for the walls. Swirls for the ceiling. Job done.
Chief looks like he lives in a victorian type house.. why would he put that **** on the walls?.

BTW I'm off to Boldon tomorrow, to see some band, if you fancy it..

Insulation properties.
Much need in this age of astronomical fuel bills.

You put it on as a cover job, which h causes so many problems later..

Chavvy ****e, bit like pebble dashing..

Chief don't seem like he lives on ****ing coronation Street.

Leccy went off in the whole street last night.
Woke up this morning and the boiler wouldn't fire up.
Which stupid **** decided to put the boiler right up there when the extension was done :bandit:

Those walls look pretty decent. You thought about artex?
No more stripping, ever.

No, that won't happen!

Blue grit and skim is what will, plasterer bloke came round yesterday.
He's a proper find actually, he's said what is required and won't be that the whole shebang needs doing.

He did the attic room earlier this year.

The decorator though; ****ing grand and half to paint it **** sake!

I should say I've done every other room myself and I can't be ****ing arsed to get the brushes out for this, **** it.

Hall, stairs, bannister (three k <yikes> ) all sorted for a merry Christmas.

That's it, done.

It's 40's by the way, not Victorian

Got some daft art deco touches like the stained glass window.

You should see the fire place!

Love the way you blanked my subtle offer for a few beers, and a bit of music tomorrow.

A simple **** of would have done...

Artex, ****ing Artex
Mate, went right over my head.
I'm miles away from Boldon and have to be up at four on Saturday morning for a day's fishing on the Tweed.

Thanks for the offer though.

I grew up in a large 4 bed victorian terrace.
The whole of the hallway, stairs and landing was "artexed" in a kind of sloppy plaster. Removed it all with one of these. The walls underneath were good enough to paint after a little filling.

Stripped all the back moulds skirtings and dado rails back to bare wood and painted them back up again.
Used a blow torch to strip the many layers of very old paint. Who knew old paint contains lead?
No ****in masks in those days <laugh>
