He's also lucky (or is it luck?)

Gets into good positions and presses and that forces opposition players to panic and make mistakes, like Pickford.
Even if he doesn't have the quality of the others.

Knowing to play between the lines of the 6 yard box is a traditional old school striker talent... for all sturridge used to be good at that wasn't particularly it.

Stylistically, he’s not suited to us. He won’t be anything more than a super sub for us - and that’s still a good option to come off the bench. He has a knack of scoring big goals for us.

We still need at least 1 new signing who can slot into the front 3 without much of a difference in quality and doesn’t alter our style.

Would keep him unless we get a sizeable offer - maybe £30m plus.

I thought Origi played a blinder for that goal as so many forwards would have charged Pickford ,so giving away a foul, but he was calm enough to wait and see if Pickford spilled it which he duly did to great merriment.

Don't know whether it's significant or not but just been looking at the LFC shop and they've got a new range of tshirts to pre-order only four in the range one of which is a Divock.

He's riding a new wave of popularity with the fans. <laugh>
Certainly is. I just wondered if the merch was an indication that he was maybe staying. I think when Coutinho started messing about they left him off the new kit pictures - bearing in mind he was our poster boy.

The goal Origi scored against Everton was pure instinct, it was knowing when to time his run to follow up. It was instinct that got both his goals against Barcelona. It was pure instinct that got his goal against Newcastle. Against Newcastle if he didn't time his run following the free-kick, he was off-side.
