But if you hadn't watched him before todays game, you would have written him off (going by your own logic)?
I've not written the lad off, all I've said is his stats are ****, the French have labelled him as overrated and when I've watched him he didn't really impress. That's it. It's only jimmy that's trying to make out he's something that he's not. As per usual he's talking out his arse
So basically, a player can score 1 goal but perform poorly for majority of the game and you'll still rate him. Stick to going to games and watching Everton mate - game analysis is not for you.
Serie A is boring as ****, hence the reason it has slowly died on its arse over the last 20 years. The players in that league are no more technically gifted than in the PL, it's defensive lead crud La Liga isn't superior either as outside of the top 4, the rest are average or worse. The gap between the best and worst is a complete chasm in comparison to the PL The German league is watchable and probably the closes to ours. Football is primarily an entertainment business, and our league is by far the most entertaining
He scored twice and as a striker that's what he's paid to do Stick to talking 'tactical' ****e about a game you don't understand, as actual football patently isn't for you
He'll come in and play about half the games next season. He might only score 5-10 goals but that's 5-10 more than the current back ups offer. Alongside the goals, he'll offer more in terms of movement and pace on the counter which will suit us, similar to how we played last year. He's 19 FFS, he's not going to come in and set the world alight, but give him 2 or 3 years and he could become a very good player. He's been highlighted rated and maybe the pressure this year after a good WC has got to him slightly, but hopefully he'll learn from the tough year (always learn from in defeat than in victory) and I trust Rodgers to improve the kid given the record he has with young players. Can, Coutinho, Sterling, Ibe, Origi. Plenty of young exciting attacking talent in there all under 21... and that's before you add in the likes of Sturridge, Henderson, Sakho who are under 25. Ojo, Sinclair, Wilson & Rossiter are then the next group and if 1 or 2 of them can make it would be very encouraging. Markovic & Moreno are young and although been poor so far, could well improve. I know not all of them are going to be brilliant, especially the ones that haven't had any frst team football yet, but it's exciting to see such a young team with the potential to grow into a very good team. Just need to keep them all together and allow Rodgers time to keep developing their game.
I suggest you look up the current Ligue 1 top scorers stats before this season. Lacazette had even worse numbers than Divock. The lad is 19 years playing in a not so attacking side but as with young players he is inconsistent. If stats were anything to go by, Barkley would be no more than 5 mil. Tobes is just on the wum.
I suggest you stop talking out your arse Lacazette has 24 league goals this season, Origi has 7. The previous season he had 15, the comparison is a complete nonsense. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/classe...1=1&journee2=32&cat=G&poste=Tous&viewAll=true
Lol, funny reading back. Origi is a question mark nothing more or less. He looks a good player from what I've seen but if he can do it in the PL is another matter. We'll see next season.
To be honest I'm not anxiously waiting to see this kid. I'm anxiously waiting to see if we sign someone who can come straight in and play the full season and get us 20+ goals. If Origi comes in and gets a few it'll be a bonus but we need a complete overhaul front to back so a 19 year old prospect should be the last player we pin our hopes on.
I'm happy that we've signed him as long as he's not the only forward, we deperately need another and to sell a few.
I see you are suffering from a case of chronic selective amnesia. You are comparing a 23 year old to a 19 year old. When I said look back you chose to look just one year and not like for like. I will break it down for you Lacazette 09- 10 (Age 18 yrs) 0 goals 10-11 (Age 19 yrs) 1 goal 11-12 (Age 20 yrs) 5 goals 12-13 (Age 21 yrs) 3 goals 13-14 (Age 22 yrs) 15 goals 14-15 (Age 23 yrs) 24 goals Origi 12-13 (Age 17 yrs) 1 goal 13-14 (Age 18 yrs) 5 goals 14-15 (Age 19 yrs) 7 goals Like I said the lad is young and calling him overrated is you being on the wum.
Oh right so because one completely different player scored more goals as he developed then of course it's a complete certainty that a totally different player is going to achieve the exact same feat try dealing with the present and little things called FACTS and they show that young Origi is currently a million likes from a prolific striker even at the level of the largely poor Ligue 1. What he does or does not do in the future has **** all relevance whatsoever to the career of Lacazette
To be fair Lacazette was played out wide for his first few seasons at Lyon. I think that has contributed a little to his poor earlier stats, though obviously experience has also improved his ability in front of goal.
But it doesn't mean any young striker who doesn't score goals is going to become a top striker. I know that's not what you're saying but comparing his record to Lacazette at this stage is pointless.
