Division 1

Grayson's team is the worst in our history, and Short brought him here !. Yet Another northern manager as well.

One man and his dog woof woof,

Three men went to mow,

I dont give a feck mate im entitled to my opinion and i couldnt give 2 fecks about what people think of it.

I wasn't having a pop mate.

This place is all about opinions. Everyone's is valid.

I'd love to think we could make the playoffs but we're struggling at the minute and I don't see it myself. Not just yet.

Looking at the table, a bloody good run would get us there, but the squad seems to be struggling with confidence.

I'd settle for mid-table this year and some stability.

What I and quite a few can’t understand is
We have inderviduals at times looks great we performed in patches.
Soon as the opposing team gets a bit of the ball and out mussels us we then go into the mode of playing crap and looking crap.
We need to shake out of this and realise we are not a bad team but we must knuckle down and be strong.
That's the problem we are nort pysical or lower league level savy enough to handle lower level teams. We will get there soon but atm we suffer when the other team outbattle us.
this worries me as we have Bolton at home soon - Ben Alnwick in goal who would have had a great future here if not for foolish off field shenanigans - in my experience of opposing keepers he'll have the game of his life against us and we'll get sucker punched by a fluky break away goal.
Hopefully I'm wrong and they are our second successive home win as our comeback is in full flow <ok> EDIT : and confidence restored <cheers>

Ameobi #2

He's a bit **** but he's capable of moments of skill.

I'm not worried about Sunderland yet but a failure to win against either Burton or Bolton will panic me. They are the two weakest teams in the league, they are the surest things to going down there are and you have them in back-to-back home fixtures. 4 points plus is a must, even 3 would be a worry.

A2 - hope he has'nt got a sign over us like A - :)
A friend saw our gameagainst QPR and said we were often out muscled so we must add that quality to our game - on a high note now on a 2 game unbeaten run - resurgence commeth
Bee's beware -oops
striker, cb and keeper needed in jan. no excuses
All with premiership potential and over 6' with outfield muscle.:emoticon-0148-yes:

That's never not been a problem for us, every week they line up and our players look smaller and weaker than the opposition. That's all most moderately successful teams are it seems to me, big, strong and fast.

Whereas we favour small, puny and slow. Been that way for a long time.

Thats our problem summed up too many small puny injury prone players come to us all gratefully accepted -we need some seasoned bruisers with a little skill

Especially in midfield, proper bunch of short arses there and slim to no physicality. Swap Cattermole for a tall and strong CM and we'd be looking better.

Pretty sure we'll survive but think it will be an ugly season to forget. Don't think we'll make it comfortable.

Wish I shared Tees' optimism but I don't by a long shot. Think we'll finish somewhere between 16th and 22nd.

Agree totally maybe McNair for Catts.
But we need this asap as we have a run of must win games ending with Boro (a) before the next football stress free weekend.

All on the money mate, it's why I agree with Bri that a sports psychologist would be a help for us.

At least in the last couple of games we've gone from being a goal down to at least finishing level. Always a good sign I think.
I think Moyes sucked the last bit of positivity and self belief out of the players and fans. SG came with some positive noises but our default mindset is still negative when things are bad. That's why a sports psychologist is must :emoticon-0112-wonde......plus a few good wins :emoticon-0148-yes:

You have to get rid of Short and all his Cronies first. Coz those ****s will never do anything positive for SAFC

Yes root and branch changes needed but I can't see this happening for a while and not as the fans want. I fear we may sink further yet.
Positive head on - we have at least 7 more points by the time we play Boro'

If we get relegated again, which is looking more likely as each game goes by, how will we fare in Division 1.

I reckon that if we splash out again as we did this season and keep this squad we should escape relegation to Division 2.
However, if any of our players show any promise such as Watmore,Honeyman or Gooch, they will obviously be sold.
Also, players like McGeady will probably feel too good to play in Div 1 and their wages will mean they will also be sold.
I think we will keep Rodwell who will probably be getting paid more than the whole team we play against in some games.

If we don’t splash out like we did for this season then I think it’s quite likely we will drop to Div 2.

I wonder what we would be sold for as a Division 2 club.

Oi, there is already a thread for this <whistle>

Oh and by the way, stop bigging it up, in old money it's Division 3 & 4 <laugh>

Not going to happen , am not able to watch now but from what I can glean there are signs of promise , and certainly a few worse teams

I think you’d stay up in division 1. Just.
