and you'd know all about 'out of their depth' managers. Lets see how long the one you have can tread water before Tan drowns him too. Doubt we'll see you in premiership any time soon so good luck and enjoy your hoof-ball.
You lot obviously don't understand the point of this forum. It is not closed to other club's supporters. Narrow minded and myopic. I suspect you all watch your team through a monocular.
"Narrow minded and myopic." That's ****ing rich. Whenever I have posted anything on your poxy board remotely critical of your lovely cuddly Chairman, that overblown windbag Oldsparkey immediately takes offence and issues threats of bans. So its little wonder when people like you post here you get a reaction. Your 'opinion' ninian isn't wanted here. Big thank you to your club for continuing to provide the nation with continuing entertainment - I expect much more this season so please keep it coming. But it's big boys only up here you see and as a fan of an inconsequential tiddler of a farcical club in a lower division you don't have any credibility and don't actually carry much weight. But you have a nice day.
Yet one of your lot told me to stay off your Forum, only recently. Practice what you preach. Not just any "monocular". A Premier League one.
I can debate but not with half wits who have an agenda and use any opportunity to have a pop at my Club so if I've offended you good , if not then I must make a note to try harder next time .
Quite true Libby, I was too. But we must rise above the pettiness of our lost little neighbours in the same way we have risen above them in every way one club can loom large over another. We are the indisputable BIGGEST, MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB IN WALES so maybe we should pity them, lead by example. Just think how bad it would be if we supported such an inconsequential little club like the bluebirds, or whatever they call themselves these days, Tans F**k Dolls works for me
Yep, diving, Monk is right. Irrespective of Saturdays forward 1 1/2 somersaults with a twist, it is killing our game and gives credence to cheats. Moses is a diving cheat and should be punished.
"Good on Gary Monk on diving. Just telling the truth. Diving is cheating fellow players, refs and fans. Pity more managers didn’t do same." - Stan Collymore "What is all the fuss about if a player takes a dive anywhere on the pitch and wins a penalty or free kick then that is cheating!! Correct?" - John Hartson "I haven't heard a single person who's not a stoke fan defending victor Moses. Think that speaks volumes - Matt Le Tissier "Good on Garry Monk for speaking out so strongly about diving and the inaction of Mike Riley. - Matt Law "If people get charged for speaking their mind on diving and the diver gets away with it then the world really has gone mad. - John Cross/Mirror "Just seen all the goals from the weekend. Lampard and Moses penalty decisions were poor but what about the Fabregas goal? Sublime - michael owen Lets hope Monks comments will do some good, about time cheating teams like Stoke got some well deserved headlines!.............
ninian opinion - you've obviously come on here to stir things up,maybe it would be better if we ignored you. The cheating by players to gain advantage that's crept into our game has spread from the continent through tv,and applies to all teams. Monk is now fining our players if they dive, in an attempt to stop this blight on our game. The refs previously did try and stop it by booking players for simulation but this seems to have petered out altogether lately. How many times have we seen opposition players at the Liberty diving at the slightest contact to gain an unfair advantage around our box with a free kick or a penalty. It's ruining the game and Monk is right to make a stand against it. My only worry is that he is alone in making this stand amongst managers, that referees will do nothing about it,players will go on diving, and we will suffer as a consequence by losing games.
All well and good, but it's not likely to have any weight with the FA. They've fined managers for a lot less.
Regardless of what Ninian has said I have to agree with you guys in that Moses dive was absolutely shocking. The ref was taken in hook line and sinker by the merest whiff of a touch and Moses should have seen yellow at least. I also agree with Monk's stance and it is a real shame that he is likely to be punished for refreshing honesty while Moses gets away scot free. While dealing with diving the powers that be also need to look closely at all the pushing and shoving that goes on for free kicks and corners. We frequently see refs calling players out and telling them not to be naughty boys but rarely do they do anything beyond that and the melee continues. Ashley Williams had his Wales shirt torn virtually to the waist last week but no action was taken.
Stoke and theyre fans have gotten away with so much , they expect it as the norm. After the Moses dive , when they got away with one , they screamed at the ref for fouls on almost every play.
Well stated Blue, glad you see the issues, Monk will no doubt get a fine, but it has focused on this cheating culture very nicely, and the Referees' Association must surely be under pressure to sort it out................
Sounds like lower league stuff that. But good research on the comments. The FA will live up to their initials and probably to FA about them though.
