The devil's brew. Hate the stuff. I was in Edinburgh once and my mate bought me a £14 shot of single malt that was really old. Tasted like four star. Wish I did but I really don't get it.

Calling someone a 'cheat' is a personal attack on their character, whilst saying someone 'cheated' usually refers to a single incident.

All professional footballers have cheated to some degree, whether it be diving for a penalty or falsely claiming a throw in. I wouldn't call all professional footballers cheats though.

Thats right Phil, Gomez did dive a lot and win penalties and free kicks.I didnt see us complainig to much or ask for rule changes ..All teams have to except that the only time teams , including us , complain about bad calls is when it happens to the team the mistake was made against . Therein lies the hipocracy, and we are no different than the next team.Get all teams representatives around the table if its to be changed, but not the team ,manager and fans after a call againsy us ...simple

Yes he did like to go down, but he did it with style in my view!...............<laugh>...On a serious note, if he got clogged he would go down for the free kick, though seeing him play recently in games, he has cleaned up that part of his game!................<ok>

I see Hartson has been forced by the BBC to apologise regarding his cheating accusation against Moses, after Stoke's chairman Peter Coates got involved, and made an official complaint to the BBC about Hartson's biased comments on MOTD2? Hartson was probably threatened with losing his job as a pundit for them. Maybe the BBC will give him a typewritten script of what to say next time,so much for free speech. Maybe the BBC have conveniently forgotten the many biased comments of Shearer on Newcastle, and Hansen/Lawrensen on Liverpool over the years.
Even BT have Michael Owen, who's comments on the Liverpool v Swansea live match were so embarrassingly biased in favour of Liverpool.

I actually think Shearer is very harsh on the Toon at times Keith, but I agree with your comments on the Liverpool-centric pundits.

But the Hartson apology has the limp-wristed, lefty, PC-crazy Beeb written all over it. As you say, so much for free speech. Much has been made of the Ched Evans case here lately and the term "he's a rapist" has been repeated time and again. Whatever side of the debate you take in that case, until the law says otherwise he is a rapist, end of.

Similarly, if a player dives, even once, he's a cheat. I can't see how anyone can say otherwise, and I'm chuffed that Monk saw fit to reiterate as much in his programme notes yesterday.

In other words, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

When you think that Stoke did us out of at least a fair earned point away from home, with Moses's dive!! You'd think their Chairman would just 'shut the feck up' & be greatful they got 3 points out of it!! With that kind of reaction, you think how can we ever get rid of this 'disease' in football...

I was very proud of the two brilliantly worked goals we scored yesterday, shown worldwide on Sky.
What was also shown in that match was at last a fair ref, albeit nervous of booking anybody, after the Stoke fiasco. The outcome was zero yellow cards,no coincidence I'm sure. Monk's outburst obviously had an effect.

I hate everything about Stoke....theyre a dirty team that always feel hard done by.In a matter of 5 minutes or so Shawcross pushed Siggy over , from the back, and kicked him in the head on the way down .....then proceeded to spin Bony around in the box like a spin top....then one of theyre players gave Bony a hip check in the box that would have made a hockey player jealous .But were the ""Bad guys"" because Rangel got a""clear cut penalty "" in theyre minds and Moses was called a cheat .Anyone notice when Moses got the penalty call , for nothing really , theyre fans seen an easy mark in the ref and screamed for fouls on any play thereafter .Truely the most horrible football organization , from top to bottom in all aspects.

    Spot on Roof.

Yes, got a programme but don't usually buy them. I'd heard that Monk was sticking to his guns so bought one.

    RESPECT! <applause>

I disagree. Chico got a lot of stick on here for his antics. Nobody wants to see their own player diving. It's embarrassing and shameful to the club. The quicker it's stamped out, the better.
