Pizza Delivery................................................ Sorry i was just putting myself in Grant Holts shoes!
I guess it's all about the amout of time they are on them welly and getting a good mix in life like you say what would worry me is if my kids spend too long on these things plus TV, nintendos, etc we try to restrict it.
I still want you buggers to get promotion (and us stay up of course) so we can have a Premier League Old Farm Derby.
It's getting the balance that's the key. If they are one of the few that don't have them or are more restricted they can be outsiders to their generation and peers. The was a lad I knew from primary school all the way through to sixth form. He wasn't allowed to watch tv because his uni lecturing parents thought it would rot his brain. So when the rest of us were discussing at length the latest greatest A-team escape he was increasingly finding it difficult to relate to the rest of us. He became a little bit of an outsider and quite an angry fella ( May not have been solely the lack of tv) he even threatened teachers on 2 occasions, it wasn't a real threat just footstomping and storming off. Bah!
Facebook is a perfect example of this for me. All of my friends have it, and because it's such a convenient way of organising gatherings, without it I'd be completely cut out of the loop. I'd much rather not bother with it (and in general I don't), but if I don't check it at least daily (and on days we're doing things more frequently), I've no idea what pub I'm going to.
I think that, to some extent, we underestimate the youth of today, my teenage boys (and all their friends) are into their smartphones and playstations and x-boxes and the internet, but they all love participating in sports too, it's a different world out there for the kids now, so much information technology at their fingertips, and that is absolutely normal for them, plus all the internet porn they want! The kids have never had it so good!
