OK guys - time for a break from all this Bielsa/Orta/Radz stuff for the moment - have a little think about this instead. Posted this football poser quite a few years back on our forum for a bit of fun and discussion, so hopefully no one will remember the answer and you can chuck in some guesses - here goes. "A goalkeeper takes a dead ball goal kick during a game into the teeth of a gale. He smacks it has hard as he can but the ball goes up in the air and a huge gust of wind sends back over his head and into his own goal. What should the referees' decison be?" If you know the answer, hold off for a while and let some others have a few guesses and a crack at working it out.
Are you having trouble Sparkey making friends with your new elite buddies..... I'm going to say the obvious and say he awards a goal.
No problem making friends Shaks - and even less making enemies.... Just thought you'd like a little brain teaser - that's of course if you have one. I'm not saying your right or wrong yet Shaks - let's see what others think
We're a bit busy with the world cup an all that, will say the same as Shako, goal. Ps if you've got nothing to do,can you keep an eye on Coronation street and let us know what's happening,as we just haven't got time with 3-4 games a day.
I'm going to be a bit picky here because you haven't provided enough information for a single answer.
Like I said Chesh, I'll say nothing yet to let others have a go. Don't worry too much about Coronation Street - you can catch up in a fortnight.
Once he has kicked the ball it is then deemed to be 'in play'. If the wind then takes it and it crosses the goal line, CELEBRATE, God is on your side. We had roughly the same question for a Rugby Ref's exam except it was 'if the attempted conversion kick crosses the cross bar but the wind then pushes it back, is it a conversion' Answer, "Yes".
No probs stonkin. OK, in the interests of the question I'll make it simpler for you then. Let's say (though it really doesn't matter) that the ball did leave the penalty area, eh?
