Sunday, roast pork loin with loads of crackling filling the house with lovely smells, roasties, parsnips and red onions crisping up in duck fat, carrots and runner beans ready for steaming. We’ve cleaned the house from top to bottom today, this is a well deserved reward. Malbec is being quaffed as stage one treat. Fresh berries, marinaded in gin with a bit of sugar, with extra thick double cream for pud. Then coma.
Just enjoyed a delicious nut/sweet potato roast, with roasties, sprouts, carrots and roasted parsnips coated in honey and brown sugar. All followed with strawberries and vegan ice cream. Just finishing off the pinot.
Lil’ Uberette has insisted we vacate the scullery and is doing something off that app @kiwiqpr recommended. Crivens, lumme and cripes!
Update: she put a carving knife through her index finger and I’ve sent Uber Major to get plasters whilst Uber Minor moans her fare wasn’t filling and wants his father to order a Domino’s. I’ve found a Malbec and am hiding in the Snug.
Sausage and bean casserole with creamy mash - washed down with some Hobgoblin, Ruby variety this time
Pretty sure supercook dosent recommend using body parts Or did she have radiohead on in the background
...I think she read somewhere that all the best chefs put a little bit of themselves into their meals.
It's Sunday, we always have a roast dinner in our house regardless of the weather. Topside of beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshires puddings, carrots, peas, savoy cabbage, and gravy. ( English Mustard and Horseradish as accompaniments. ) If I had to choose a dinner to eat every day, this would be it.
Roast chicken with macaroni cheese broccoli and carrots..... Preceeded by a couple of very tasty Whitley neil ginger and rhubarb gins with fever tree elderflower tonics.....the perfect Sunday afternoon tiple....
