Wishing you a speedy return to pain free fitness, RTID.

Hopefully, your cameras ( through the courts ).... will provide a early retirement package for you.

    Thanks.
Thankfully injury not severe enough to merit an early retirement package for which I am VERY grateful!

    Good going mate.
I guess the dosh pays for the t shirts, medal, running the thing and advertising....profit for them as well.
Just seems a way to keep motivated

As a keen but lucky cyclist - never had a serious accident - I wish you a speedy and complete recovery

It's my main form of exercise as I get shin splints when I try running outdoors (though strangely not on a treadmill)

I do a few weights and stretching at home but always struggle to stay motivated off the bike

I've worked long hours throughout lock down and haven't exercised nearly enough so have expanded my waistline somewhat :emoticon-0106-cryin

Absolutely agree, unless walking is included. I’ve done about 70 miles this week, but at most 20 of that is running (my dog is very fit) and that includes every inch my watch records I.e. walking from the kitchen to the living room. I don’t think it’s good for you to run every day, but if you run 6 miles every other day it’s quite a big ask.

I guess it’s how you want to measure it....I’m not looking at measuring my walks to school, walk to shops, walk about town etc.....only running, nothing else. If it was everything else it’d probably be a doddle but I’d feel I cheated.
Training for the half marathon in November I’m averaging about 16 miles a week, due not running when I’m on shift...so will need to up it a bit. Did a 10 miler yesterday that knackered me and a 4 miler today....so having tmrw off.
As I said, just a bit of fun and motivation

Set off at 7.07pm GMT for a 6.5km run, hoping the motivation of wanting to get back in time for kick off would spur me on to a fast time. Missed the first 15 minutes of the match after a 40 minute run then a needed shower. Runs are getting quicker though.

    Well done Dave

You could approach the club to give the players some fitness coaching!

Send the squad to Parc Vincennes, just east of Paris, and I'll sort out some drills.

Took a brisk walk from the hallway of our house, to the far side of the driveway where my car was parked.

With my trusty trainers on, l hopped into my work ute and drove around the corner to the local store to pick up some milk & fresh bread.

With a focus on pushing myself to the max, l decided to park at the furthest end of the carpark and with strong desires to break into a jog, the immediate entrance into the shop killed off any thought of breaking into sweat.

l tried break-dancing along the isles to keep my blood pumping and with loose change falling from my pockets, half a dozen push-ups enabled me to collect my coins and pay the cashier.

Four or five waves to other locals ensured my upper body workout was complete as l sped back to my house, a mere 50 metres away.

With the fresh bread & milk now placed on the kitchen bench, a quick snack of three raw eggs brought on a burst of wind from the lower regions of the torso, thus completing my workout for the today.
