I would love us to bring Bony back, and see Go-miss sulk on the bench for the rest of the season, now that would be Karma..............
Emnes seems to be getting plaudits on Facebook for his performance but I must have been watching it wrong as I thought he was crap. Shelvey looked disinterested until the final 20 mins but then he showed that he's just not good enough to drag a team out of trouble. Tabanou looked a good few pounds over weight to me but I'll give him a pass. Bartley was his usual terrible self. Maybe that's harsh. Maybe he's just league 2 quality. Barrow looked good and Grimes looked OK in parts although he was weak and sloppy at times. Cork surprised me. I've always backed Cork and wanted him in the team but he was poor today. That team should be beating Oxford. I couldn't really care less that we're out though as survival in the prem is by far more important. It's more the performance from players that should be playing for a place in the first team was crap.
Chris Sutton can go and do one. We'd have been screaming blue murder if we'd have fielded a first team 11 today then lost on Wednesday. We've earned the right to be where we are and have some very decent players who don't make our starting 11. We fielded 4 regulars and about three others that have seen Prem action this season. Sutton and others like him need to realise that Prem survival is by far the most important thing for most fans, not the FA Cup. That's the way it is and is particularly relevant if you're languishing down the bottom. I maintain that Curtis put out a side that was more than capable of winning today, and my only criticism would be that the bench was too weak and Barrow should have come on second half. Other than that, it's full credit to Oxford. But really guys, we have bigger fish to fry.
On a serious subject, one of the Indian waiters at my fave restaurant in Swansea was just knocked over crossing the street. Doctors say he'll be in a Korma for a month.
Thought emnes was ok. Should have created more chances, but defense/midfield looked shakey when harried by the League 2 side.
That goal should have been the foundation of a win, albeit a slightly undeserved one at the time. Who could have imagined that a lunatic lunge from a lunging lunatic, would prove so costly.
I think most agree they should have been good enough, certainly better than they were. The bench was misused big time. I think a better balance should have been employed. At least we've added to "the magic of the cup"! And so you should be Where's the downvote button when you need it
I can only apologise for my momentary lapse, Geezer. I thought I'd go for the obvious as my more subtle jokes are lost on the likes of Moby Dai.
