Hi Ellers Your reply is also sort of true, they really only started to 'click' in the last few games, until then most R's were moaning about the team and Mark Hughes. Problem is, will it last or were they just a flash in the pan? We are going to find out in the next month I guess.
Well lets face face you should know all about ****philes living in the **** hole that is Hull britains most deprived city.
Look, I can understand the Royals frustration at Karacan getting injured, but when he felt the tackle come in he immediately twisted into a dive that ****ed him. Sorry, but when you keep falling over every time someone runs within five yards of you, eventually you will get hurt in a fair challenge because you have no idea how to ride a tackle. I'm sick of all these prima donnas and cheats in football, time to get some real men to play the game. Truth is Leeds could have been out of sight before Reading scored, wasted the best chances in the game. Leeds did play hard, but that's the Championship for you, a good honest league. However, must say Reading were the worst "Heskey" team I have seen this season, and the surrounding the referee (who was weak) at every opportunity just made it worse. They will come horribly unstuck in the Prem next season if that's how they behave. Bloody disgrace. As for Gorkss, well, he was blown up for fouls at least eight times, so why no yellow for persistent fouling? And Roberts clearly elbowed Robinson, a really horrible challenge that should have seen red. That was premeditated and downright irresponsible. Thompson should have seen yellow and Pugh should have seen red. Pugh's challenge was horrendous and as irresponsible as the Jason Roberts elbow. Ah well, this crap happens when the referee is not in control, and he bottled the Thompson, Pugh and Roberts incidents badly. Having said all that, as far as Reading are concerned all I can say is your team is limited and will not add anything to the Prem except cannon fodder. Enjoy many a miserable afternoon next season if you do go up, at least when we struggle we still support our team unlike you lot. Can't even sing!!
When Pugh tackled Karacan, how many rolls did he do? You can't convince me that he felt any pain from the tackle or he would have stayed where he was the cheating ****. All he was interested in was getting Pugh sent off. Hopefully the ref saw through it and took no action. I'm not saying it wasn't a red, but I can't do with so called professionals trying to get another sent off. Mind you what else could you expect from a man from you know where !!!
You back again??? And as eloquent as ever! Obviously still not watched the highlights - or perhaps you've never read the rules of the game!! Probably both. Just another southern softie with big mouth with no brain to engage.
I cannot believe what I am reading. To put some of you leeds fans straight. To accuse karacan of cheating is an utter joke, pugh's tackle tore right through his sock. The biggest cheat on the field was becchio (obviously had no control over his legs) closely followed by robinson, who billys statue said was elbowed by roberts, try watching a replay of that it was pathetic to say the least. Justify your tactics all you like but what I and many other people have witnessed was pure thuggery.
So Basingstoke Royal here is a question for you, now think about it before you reply. "If a cat is born in a stable is it an horse" ?
I'm pretty sure nobody on this thread is trying to justify our players behaviour or even claim they were innocent. We are just saying your players were just as bad, pulling, pushing, diving all over the place and getting away with it. That game would have turned out differently had the referee not been incompetent and handed out more cards to your players for the various bookable offences, the least of which was persistent fouling. A few bookings would have let your players know they can't get away with anything, taking away the only advantage you had in a game where, to be frank, you looked mediocre and nothing like an automatic promotion candidate. And that's against 10 men. The long periods in the second half where it looked like the only winners would be Leeds were plenty evidence to show you were crap and didn't deserve the win, but were effectively handed it on a plate by a referee who only gets out his cards for one team.
As far as entertainment is concerned, I had the misfortune to watch the 0-0 bore draw between Sunderland & Spurs yesterday. Give me Reading v Leeds over that dross any day of the week. They maybe better footballers in the PL, but at the end of the day it's an entertainment business, and I'd rather see blood and thunder football with tackles flying in than the 'more refined' tip tappy top flight version. It's boring.
Markolufc, there is a big difference between persistent fouling and some of the just plain nasty tackles some of your players put in. We always struggle against ten men especially when they are employing dirty negative tactics and we are second because of our performances over the season so far not just this one game.
There were 2 vaguely bad tackles, one was a sending off (Pugh) and the other was questionable (Thompson). If you take the "we all hate Leeds scum" tinted glasses off and look at it objectively for more than 5 seconds, you'd realise that half the stuff your players did was just as bad. Except your fouling was more pathetic and consisted mostly of diving. Again, it comes down to not being able to ride a tackle as a result of being told to play for the free kick every time. There were various dirty tackles in there that resulted in free kicks, but no bookings, despite being bookable. All the players were getting fired up and aggressive, yet the referee totally bottled his chance to cool it down, only pulling his card out for Leeds players, which arguably made it worse. Just because you think you're a "likeable" club, doesn't mean your players can do whatever the **** they want and get away with fouling. You have no moral high ground. So **** off back to your own board.
Hardly biting pal, I think you should concentrate on your own team who are still fighting for championship survival, and yes your right the last thing we won was actually the charity shield, but we have certainly been far more successful than Millwall have ever been, as for losing fans don't be daft I have 2 budding Leeds fans already, we may be hated by other teams but as was pointed out, 3k travelling fans sang there hearts out even when we were 2 nil down!!! you don't see wall fans doing that do you, and Reading fans were leaving early as well. I have a soft spot for wall fans even after the drysalters incident, so stop pretending to be perfect and winding some of the lads up on here lol, as for Reading and no disrespect here because they have been brilliant to get where they are, but when did they ever win anything of importance !!, good luck to both teams for the remainder of the season.
You committed 15 fouls (that were noticed) and received 0 cards. That's not to mention the dozen of sly elbows, handballs and dives. We may have put in worse tackles, but only one team was cheating.
