Nobody likes being subbed and things can be said in the heat of the moment. I wouldn't read too much into it. I was at the match and like most,was surprised that our only player capable of scoring was withdrawn. Gomis doesn't even look like scoring at the moment. We know strikers are confidence players and his must be very low. Could be Monk is right,that once he knocks the first in,the rest will follow. Problem is we do not have time to find out,because nobody else is scoring to take the pressure off. As an aside I was shopping in John Street,Porthcawl,today,a renowned Bluebird stronghold. As I was passing one of the shops I overheard two men talking "......yes he's back next week (assume it's Siggy). What do you think of Gomis". What a surprise to hear that,it seems as if we are finally making inroads into Cardiff territory!
You may be right Keith about not reading too much into it. However, there are rumours that not all is well behind the scenes. I hear that, apart from Monk's "mates", the players are starting to question Monk's methods. Could be another "b**s**t" rumour.....
