The real puzzle to me is that we are not what I would call a "Dirty team" like for instance all of Warnocks teams, Stoke City or Blackburn - all niggly, chipping away all the time, shirt pulling, blocking off players at corners and continually trying to run the game for the ref.
NO definitely NO, City are not a dirty team! What we are is naive, innocent and very gullible and I know it's easy to blame refs but here's my take on the latest two incidents.
Fontaine's tackle was not a launch himself in the air and take a player out knee high! He had one foot on the ground and was probably late but it was not a red card offence.
And now look at the video again; McGivern was not last man even if he did foul and I'm not sure he did. Did Jutkiewicz actually fall himself and drag McG down?
Please don't post and tell me I'm biased because I've spent sixty odd years passionately supporting City but also trying to be fair and honest about such decisions. I grew up on John Atyeo's behaviour and I don't want cloggers at Bristol City. And I do not think the present squad contains any nasty ones. Hard yes but nothing in the Joey Barton or Robbie Savage mould!
I think we have been poorly treated by match officials recently.
