I guess all teams have players who dive these days, but it does seem that from what I can see no contact was made by Reina on the skunk (pity mind) cannot an appeal be made, surely video evidence has to be used to at least try to ensure that cheats do not prosper
Must admit I don't go round nutting people very often but I'm fairly sure that the usual response is to stagger back a bit, clutching the offended part. I don't imagine you'd be falling over unless you're either concussed, thrown off balance by the sheer force of the assault, or play-acting. Guess which one is favourite in this case? Reina had a rush of blood to the head and was sent off accordingly. Perch, imo, should have walked as well for the cumulative effect of fouling the keeper and subsequently acting like a tart to get him sent off.
I think the problem is with the refs though to be honest. Don't get me wrong what Perch did was wrong, however, if he had not gone to ground would Reina have been given the red card he deserved ? I doubt it
Probably not, but as it stands it encourages players to roll around in order to get others sent off. Tha FA, Uefa and Fifa have all failed dismally to address this problem (quelle surprise). A retrospective punishment on someone deemed to be faking would surely go some way to resolving the situation?
can we all agree three things 1. carroll fully deserved a yellow card 2. whatever perch did reina was an idiot and got what he deserved. 3. Liveprool are not playing enrique in siad semi final. there is an international keeper on the bench ready to come in and show his worth
1. 100% correct 2. Reina was indeed a tool and, by the letter of the law, deservedly got sent off 3. We have a selection of back-up keepers - Doni, Jones and Hansen, plus Gulacsi who is out on loan.
LFC reserves playin now Doni not playin Shouldnt Doni be playing, is that not a no brainer Baffled by some of the decsions the clubs make
