I was watching the game in a boozer yesterday so didn't have the benefit of the commentary, but I just couldn't work out why our 'goal' was disallowed? I've been told that Ricky made a slight nudge on Jones, but it didn't look blatant to me and was definitely marginal.

I was looking forward to hearing what they said about it on MOTD last night, and couldn't believe it when they didn't show it in the highlights and didn't even mention it!! Considering it was one of the few forays we made into their half I thought they'd definitely show it and talk about it, but apparently it didn't even happen according to the BBC.

Apart from ten seconds from Hansen they didn't even mention us at all in the summary, ridiculous considering our current plight.

w**kers.

Are you kidding? They didn't show it?!

I didn't get to see it last night but was going to check it out on iPlayer as I didn't get a clear view of it from where I was sat in the ground. I guess I won't bother now.

Scummy BBc
Probably still would of lost but it should have been shown because we were doing well up until the soft pen

No, they didn't show it and the only attack of ours they did show was Olsson hitting the bar in the last minute. It was shocking coverage.

Whits barely touched him, he could have easily stayed on his feet. The more infuriating thing is how the hell the ball got that far. Just watched the disallowed goal and I more pissed off, it should have stood. ****ing useless ref

I know my eyes were not 100% last night (enough booze does that you know <laugh>), but I never saw any contact, I really need to see it again.

Whittaker got wrong side and clearly pulled Welbeck back just as he was about to strike the ball..If the letter of the law had been carried out Whittaker should have been dismissed for preventing an attempt on goal!

Hmm yes, I can see a very slight pull on the shirt ( I was looking at Welbecks feet before). Very soft, but equally very stupid of Whittaker to offer him the chance of dropping like a stone.

It was a blatant dive, no contact made with legs at all and Welbeck makes it look like he has been tripped by Whittaker when he clearly hasn't.

Hard for ref to see though, Welbeck sold it.

Not surprised it's Man U away, they get those decisions.

Our goal should never have been disallowed either it's all folly anyway.

Can i believe me eyes, you really can't be complaining about the penalty, he pulled him back and should have been a red card. Just cast your mind backs to how grant holt went down that easily, didn't see any complaining then!

I suppose you lot want rooney to be booked for falling over on the second goal, talk about sore losers.

The truly maddening thing is why did 3 Norwich Defenders allow the ball to travel that far across the Penalty box in the first place! <yikes>

In fairness, not a great deal was made of it at the time, probably as most were not sure but that clip does suggest Welbeck is making the most of it, with his left foot, which for some odd reason looks like it is being held back. That is quite unnatural for someone whose arm is grabbed with little force. He did quite clearly stick his toe in to the ground to fall, just to be sure I suppose.

I was absolutely disgusted by the whole coverage. There was barely a mention of norwich despite the fact that it was a far more significant game for us than it was for them. I was absolutely stunned that not only was our 'goal' disallowed but that there was not a mention of it maybe being a harsh decision in the commentary. If that had been the other way round there would have been a dozen replays from every angle and outrage that it hadn't been given.
