Mick the panel that decided the length of the ban was made-up of: I honestly don't think these folk had an alternative agenda against Neil Lennon. I suspect it was a combination of the police report, his comments after the game and the fact he appealed. The ban is definitely excessive for a first offense but barring reading the actual police report into exactly what Lennon said on the touchline and seeing the entire ins-and-outs of the aftermath, its pure specualation to claim it's some sort of punishment for the Dougie McDonald stuff. Celtic need to concentrate on footballing matters as all this pish distracts from the real issue of winning the league. If he'd accepted the ban he'd only have missed the Aberdeen and Hearts games. His behaviour on the touchline just wasn't acceptable in my opinion.
The fact is Celtic are the ones with the agenda toward the SFA. Not the other way about! Lennon clearly was in the wrong and was issued with a 2 match ban. Weighing up the the rules of appealing the ban and the likelyhood of him getting it overturned (no ****ing chance). Common sense would suggest he should have taken his punishment and shut the **** up! Lennon and the rest of the hierarchy at Celtic football club on the crusade against the SFA are just **** stirring now. It's time for Celtic Football Club to issue an official statement about how the feel they are being victimised for who the are. This way the issue can be fully investigated and Celtic should be punished for this utter, utter pish! kind regards, Bollo Bollo
