Not originally, he was born in a house in the middle of nowhere in county Durham no-mans land, lived his early years in Sunderland up until about 16-17, left after he failed as a Goalkeeper at Sunderland(played against the scum in a youth friendly though) and followed the work to the county Durham mines, then managed The Top Hat at Spennymoor, then worked on the rigs.

Born and bred in Ryhope before emigrating to Silksworth when I got married. I then moved to Hall Farm about 12 years ago when in need of a bigger house due to our 3rd child being born.

From Hetton, my dad made the brave and massive move 2 miles up the road from Murton! Up in Scotland now and married a local, so here for keeps. Can't beat a night out in the NE though, much better banter and none of the pretension you can get round some parts this way. Do miss it

Has the infestation slowed down or are the rats still breeding furiously for the next generation of bed sheet scribblers?

Having grown up in Washington I have probably 50/50 split of friends who are mackems/geordies.
Born in S.Shields, parents from Jarrow. Had a spell living in Wallsend for a year (match days were fun; smuggling myself in and out on the metro with my colours in plain view). Moved back south of the river about 8 years ago. most of my neighbours now are mackems despite living in Gateshead (nearly Washington).

Almost my entire estate is B&W except me and my next door neighbour! They get everywhere. It's like, when you play football on those 3g pitches, you end up with those little black bits all over you. You shower four times and more pop out - doesn;t matter how many you get rid of there always seems to be more of the ****ers!!

    I'd definitely say its slowed.

But its all due to neither us nor them being any good. Their time in the sun was over years ago, in which they really should have won something. They would support either if either actually did something. I had a friend who suddenly had suddenly become a lifelong Chelsea fan the day after they beat boro in the fa cup, complete dingleberries.

    Who cares? FTM

I've seen loads in my time around London. When Keegan was there and they were "everybody's second team" (my arse!). Hardly any around these days. There's me and at least 4 other SAFC fans in Caterham that I know of and only 1 mag, which is nice.

There are many English football trainers here in the US. For example, my son has had 4 trainers so far, and two of them were English. Most of the English trainers are among the most respected and best liked at their clubs - with one noticeable exception... There's this particularly abrasive bloke at a neighboring club, who hails from Newcastle. I believe the correct term is... ****er.
