I thought so, he just missed out on the FA Cup winning team, we still had Cisse then I believe ( who I rated btw, just too many injuries). The view is split here on him, but every Liverpool and Holland coach can't be wrong I think.

Edit: We did have Cisse as he scored that stunning side volley in the final.

also id fancy kuyt for any penalties that we might get (relatively high chance) and he is less likely to get sent off

As MITO said, he's got the energy and intelligence to shut down Baines and keep him pinned back. I'm not certain that Downing has the game sense to do that job - besides, I'd prefer to see Downing on the left, not the right. Above all, I'd like to see Bellamy on the left, rather than Downing to start the game. Perhaps after an hour of Bellamy, Downing to come on and exploit tiring legs...

For all those that have said that Kuyt should play instead of Henderson.
    Spot on.
I completely agree. Henderson is tactically niave and the last thing we need against Everton is a passenger. We cannot afford to carry players. We attempted to carry Adam and Henderson against Spurs and capitulated. If it were me, Gerrard would play in place of Adam and Kuyt in place of Henderson, but I reckon Adam will play and Kuyt should play with Gerrard coming off the bench.
I reckon Gerrard will start against the rags on October 15th, lets hope Postman Pat aka Crapello leaves him out to let him regain match fitness in the international break.

When he was in Holland he scored a lot of goals and his work rate was the same as it is now
He was brought in for his goal ratio but Rafa brought him in for his work rate
The man just loves football and is a great ambassador for the game

How can you regain match fitness on a break?

Either way, I don't think playing Kuyt in a midfield 3 is a good move - he hasn't got the passing or tackling for that spot, and he'll probably have 'the Blue 'fro' in his face all match, so he's not likely to win many headers there. No, IMO he has to play on the right side of the front 3 of Bellamy/Downing, Suarez and Kuyt. Hendo should be on the bench to start and Steve should start on the right side of the midfield three with Adam left and Lucas central...
