Not necessarily too old and certainly a good experienced player who knows the Prem well but he has spent all his playing career running and chasing (not that quickly either). All that leg work will catch up with him sooner or later and we don't want someone who trys hard but looks like they are trying to escape from quicksand.

However, Malky likes to bring in old heads who he believes can do a job, such as Miller and Helguson, so you never know until it happens.

I've said elsewhere we need a couple older heads (but not over the hill) in the new recruits that have been there and done that. An experienced right back wouldn't go amiss either.
 
A fair few of you know this already, but i love Dirk Kuyt and would be well happy if we had him for a couple of seasons. Don't think he'll take the step down though. He's playing European football and he's 'done' the PL.
