    I hear Shane Ferguson is awesome at free-kicks, might be worth letting him take a few if we're comfortably winning.

    Yes I do, must be difficult to produce good ones when you're never playing more than a game or 2 consecutively.

    Nope, i think the stat was that he's only missed one for NUFC in a friendly.

    So we'll just not count that one.

    Anyone noticed how he puts every penalty in the same place? <laugh>

    i dont know if anyone else noticed but barton was average at best with set pieces last season. he hit a few decent balls and the rest were just ****

    But surely he can do it at training? I know it's different atmosphere etc but he is a professional footballer, I'd understand he wasnt as good as he normally is playing as you can't really recreate that in training but dead balls?

    I'm sure the likes of Beckham got their technique down in training rather than playing every game and taking every free kick in a match.
