Anyway, back to what I was saying. Where would you play him when everyone is fit? I think that McCormack is a far better player therefore I think he should take Diouf's place in the team. Or are you thinking play something like this:

    Diouf------Tonge-----Austin-----Thomas

    ---------McCormack---Becchio----------

I don't think he provides enough defensively to play there personally which means its either Ross or Diouf and either way your paying one of em huge amounts to sit on the bench....

Or would it be in a 4-5-1 which again I don't think either Diouf or Ross provide enough defensively in that formation for whichever one is out wide

Josh, last 2 games have been 4-3-3. Ball mostly passed on the ground. Becchio gamboling everywhere like a spring lamb, & Diouffy playing even better! Last thing we need is a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. We'll be back to hoofball with those formations.

Well 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 are pretty similar formations anyway and you'll find when defending a 4-5-1 is adopted and when attacking 4-3-3 is played or maybe not, haven't seen the last few games but thats what should happen either way. But where would you fit Ross into the team even with that formation?

Josh, I love Rosco, but he didn't even get sub time, as the 3 man attack were doing so well! It didn't help that we went 4-4-2 when Bruno came on for Thomas (tired) - Rosco was never going to replace Becchio or Dioufy, who were both playing out of their skin.

I know what you're saying about the 4-3-3 relationship with 4-5-1, but it seemed to be like a 4-4-2 when defending, with Thomas pulling back into midfield. We used to do that years ago, with Kewell filling the Thomas role. Hadn't realised until you mentioned it.

    Now your the ****ing idiot.

    A) I don't like Diouf because of the type of person he is and thats the reason I didn't want us to sign him but thats not the reason i don't want him to get a new contract. Its solely based on his performances and type of player he is.

    B) You haven't even attempted to respond to my concerns with him rather just insulting me

    C) What the **** are you talking about? How do you even get to talking about ****s in two lines when no one else has even mentioned them, for the record, I would happily see ****s get the death chair but thats a completely different topic. I don't normally respond to this sort of idiotic post but that was just ****ing ridiculous. Now run along dickhead

Thats a more interesting approach for me, I find that sort of defensive and attacking formation difference can tire the midfielders more so than normal. And specifically Thomas in this situation.

Morning gentlemen. When everyone's fit, Warnock will have the sort of problem every manager would love to have; genuine competition for places. Poleon's time will come. So when everyone's fit, I see him on the bench at best for now. I see the front line as being Becchio, Ross & Thomas, with Hall providing cover for Thomas. In a 3 man midfield, I think Diouf has to play, as he has the experience & can spray passes around to ensure we continue to play footy rather than hoofball. As to who plays alongside him. We have Green, Austin, Brown, Tongue, & Norris. Perm 2 from these in a 433 451 formation depending on whether or not we're attacking or defending. In defence & much as I prefer him at RM rather than RB, we have Byram or the captain. We now know Tate will start, probably with Lees. That means Pearce, our supposedly main CB won't start. At LB we probably have Drury or White.

Look at the side I'm suggesting & look at who's filling the bench. Starts to look a very strong team. Oh & before I forget, let's stick to discussing/agreeing/disagreeing on footy matters & leave references to *****s to other sites.
