I was actually pointing out that he's more likely to miss 10-12 games and only play about 28 games for us max..

Ha, I even got the maths wrong again. I think he is unlikely to miss 10-12, surely its not too big an injury to recover from and should be up to speed again.

Hopefully we don't rush him back, its a long season and he will get an opportunity to play his part with inevitable injuries and suspensions.

And of those 28 games it will take him several to get match sharp and adjust, and that's even if he avoids getting injured again. Could be a blessing in disguise like OLM says about us probably getting a loan signing in who will be of much more use to us this season

Yep, it's a pretty unfortunate incident. Sounds like it was worse than the club first thought, but you'd think a medical is designed to pick up on this stuff..

    Oh well.

I'd look at Ameobi or Carlton Cole - both still without a club. The latter would be a great addition.

We don't have great luck with regards to injuries at all. You only need to look at last season. Whilst I'm sure other clubs have similar track records ours does seem appallingly bad.

Oh shut up you prick. If he had been fit He could have broken his leg @ Brighton on saturday as an example. Injury happens. It happens deal with it. Not as though we dont have enough cover.

We have another international break during this period as well ffs.

Plus the loan window is now open if need be........................

More of an issue with deadline day transfers. Just bad luck.

Signing a player who's already injured and isn't going to be available for the first two months isn't bad luck.

Yes it is for us. However,

At least it has happened now and not a week or so down the line. We can cover for it for now.

Signing a player a player who subsequently gets injured is bad luck, signing a player who's already injured isn't.

You really are a drama queen. It has happened and has now been put right, the injury i mean.
Now he starts the healing process.

Not as if he was about to start a game anyway.
