From seeing the TV footage I would have to agree. Such a pity. I hear he pulled off several good saves that obviously contributed to the 1-0 win over Leeds.
I would have to disagree. The first goal took a deflection which wrong footed him. Second goal had nothing to do with him. Ayew's run was not picked up at a corner. I find the constant carping criticism of Phillips unfair.
You carry on posting as you see fit Lardi. @DickPlumb has the vapours at the moment. We will all be friends again by the weekend.
I was a huge fan of Nick Pope, right from when I saw him in the youth team, hoped to see him play for us for years to come. With a decent owner we would not have got relegated and that may have happened. He has shown that if you've got the talent you'll get over a rocky patch.
Pope was an amazing shouter, always bellowing instructions to his defense, I've never seen that in Dillon. Dillon is OK with crosses but Pope was better, always seemed to read the flight of the ball very early. £800,000? 'Avin' a larf.
Think it was when we beat derby 3-2 at the Valley, early on in Peeters reign perhaps? Pope did not play well, and I did not see a good keeper in there, how wrong I was. I like Phillips, didn't like how Steer was picked ahead of him last season, one of Bowyers only errors. I cynically sometimes feel people want Phillips to make a mistake so Amos can replace him
One great save from Dillon yesterday, a one on one at the end of the match. I have a feeling he will be busier at West Brom next Saturday.
It's a great pleasure to see Phillips coming good after playing second fiddle to loanees for so long. He's in the Deano mode, great shot-stopping, not such great distribution, although that is improving. Maybe he'll get his own song.
I don’t really understand the criticism of Dillon this season. And apart from the playoffs, can anyone remember him costing us any points?. So ****ing what if
