I am wondering if this only affected non season ticket holders.

Every season ticket holder I know got in. But my uncle and cousins had difficulty.

I didn't.....but I was trying to get in via lower loft, ...and there is a small box office there...
They sorted me out very quickly.

My problem was that I tried to access my season ticket via internet outside ground with hundreds or thousands of others.

Rollercoaster had sensibly taken a screenshot of his season tick QR code...and got in immediately.

That's what I am going to do next time

When I presented my season ticket (saved on my phone) in SAR, the code wasn't recognised. When I represented it, a message came up telling me that the code had already been used. There was a club offical standing nearby to deal with issues, though. He 'beeped' the code with a hand-held scanner and told me to represent it at the gate. This time it worked.

Not a great inconvenience for me, but multiply it by hundreds or thousands and it causes long delays.

My season ticket in the Google Pay wallet worked fine but that really isn't the point. Hundreds of others WERE being denied entry and that caused massive delays at the Ellerslie Road entrance in particular. And unlike other parts of the ground (apparently) here there were virtually no stewards on hand and the few that were there stood around helplessly in the face of chaos. We're used to being the poor relations on the south side of the ground but coupled with the dilapidation of the stand and the positively Victorian facilities this has taken things beyond bearable.
