BRISTOL.
After much soul-searching and deliberation; and having spoken with my family,
I have decided that I am no longer available for selection for international duty.
It is many years since I captained Hounslow 4th XI at cricket and
played left/right back for my unbeaten, shield winning Primary school.

Younger, fitter players have come onto the scene and they deserve to have their chance.
It is not fair on the respective managers that they should spend time agonising over
whether to pick me or not. I hope that they will understand and respect my decision.

I will now continue to sit in my favourite chair; and also make regular visits to the Memorial Stadium
and Nevil Road. When I have full fitness I shall visit grounds further afield.

I shall not be tweeting about this difficult decision.
