This means his choices should never downgrade the team, especially on a long-term basis. If choices made by the manager affect the long-term performances, then the manager is putting himself ahead of the team. Anyway, how did we even get into all these crazy speculations about who is siding with whom? The fact that we are talking about this demonstrates that the manager is not sufficiently doing HIS job MANAGING the team. The results are there for all to see.
