    Yes.

Amazing player. I don't see the point of going to see the documentary/film when I can stream it on the telly.

    <laugh> That was funny

Especially seeing Jug ears Lineker getting all sanctimonious about it after the game.

How the **** can you put Tony Adam's in the same sporting bracket as the rest of these guys? Boozing maybe but not "sporting excellence "

Guys go easy on Ginge here. Pele once tricked him into sucking him off and if we don't let him have this there'll be an emotional breakdown on the Sporting Villains thread that none of us are ready for.

  6. If Gary Lineker had done what Maradonna did in Mexico most England fans would have loved it. Im sure we would all love to think we woukd have been ashamed and disgusted but would we really? I'm not so sure. I kind of admire him for the audacity tbh. He is a bit of an idiot now though.

    That’s what I said.

And Pele wasn’t a Maradona - different players, different eras. Welcome to the point.

It’s only in England where that game in Mexico is remembered for the Hand of God goal. The rest of the world remembers this...

    Incredible goal that.

The handball goal wasn't the first time he'd done that either. Apparently he'd done it loads of times before, some were given some weren't

Incredible footballer ... what he did for both Argentina and Napoli stand out as phenomenal in the world of sporting achievement... flawed genius? undoubtedly ... but an absolute pleasure to watch on the field.

Terry Butcher. 'Old school' English centre half.

Saw him play in the flesh, just the one.

It was while he was at Barcelona and Bryan Robson made him look an absolute mug.

He went onto better things after though though of course!

No point needed my view is subjective as is yours. In my opinion Pele was head n shoulders over the White nosed midget.

Best player I've ever seen. Only seconded by ronaldhino (only for a short period though )

Was listening to a radio thing on maradonna and his agent said he knew him as two people. One off the pitch who the agent called Diego and one on it who he called maradonna.

The agent went on to say that he loved Diego the person off the pitch, apparently a really nice and down to earth guy. But hated maradonna the player.

I suppose you have to be a conceited prick to become what he did on the pitch

What exactly did he do wrong on the pitch, other than trying to win by cheating? Am I missing something here?

From what I've read etc. it was his off the pitch antics that caused his huge downfall.
