After the most bizarre set of results I have ever seen what do you think it tells us?

Some big teams don't give a sh*t about the cup?

Some teams think it's their god given right to win without trying ?

Some of the best teams in the world are not that much better than the lowly ones?

    No match is unwinable?

    No position is hopeless?

The best paid foreign players can be matched by ordinary British players if they get the chance?

Are any/all of these true? What else did you notice?

Yesterday was just another reason why I love football. A crazy crazy day.

Obviously, except at the SoL, where it was business as usual.

Yes, absolutely but we were part of the bigger, bizarre picture so it will be ok.......as long as we win the replay.

Imagine another cup run man! I don't think I couldnt take it I was reminded of my antics during the penalties at old Trafford last year recently which basically involved me desperately clutching my radio with a deranged stare on my knees in the kitchen where I had landed after bardo scored only to be froze there in disbelief when they scored to again all this while my girlfriend who had just finished work was instructed to wait outside in the car (jynx) till it was over, I wouldn't change a thing!

Yesterday's results deffo mean that the cup draw will be avidly watched by many!!!
If 2 of the 'big' clubs get drawn together it'll obviously open the door further!!
It could be a very special year for a not so glamorous club :emoticon-0148-yes:

Everybody loves it when the big teams are knocked out by lesser clubs.

But they moan like **** when 2 unglamorous end up in the final.

    Can't have it both ways.

    Very true...
However if we get to Cup Final this year I hope we play Cambridge !!!
Unglamorous or not... It's all about watching your captain hoisting that silverwear high in the air!!

Aye, I'd settle for that. No one remembers the loser, just the winners

I don't get the calls for the winner to qualify for the champions league. It just means the top clubs will field strongest teams meaning upsets are even less likely. The middle and lower ranked teams will take it more seriously too, meaning fewer upsets there too.

If by a miracle a lower league team wins it, say a Morecambe or a Stevenage, they wouldn't even get to th e group stages. Whereas arsenal, spurs etc finishing 4th would give a much stronger show in the cl.

Could mean we end up with another Portsmouth Vs Cardiff cup final. We've got a chance to be Portsmouth. We must take the opportunity to progress by playing an attacking line up at Craven Cottage

We could do with some all prem ties in the next draw. Arse V Man U & West Ham V Liverpool sounds grand.

Smug was right when he said some thing like we won't win the the league and we should throw everything at the cup.

Perhaps the players should be shown some of the videos from '73.

If the team could be pumped up with some of the cup memory magic that we get on here we could do anything.

On the other hand Vincemac was right .....too much complacency and not enough commitment .
