Sort of what I was thinking but perhaps not quite that turn of phrase But yes, each morning Ashley plugs Pards in, types in the words that he wants to come out of his mouth, and rolls him out in front of the cameras.

Agree with ACS, he needs to just stop saying anything because it is obvious to all he just says what he's told to say.

Gordonthetoony - Mike has VERY deep pockets and so therefore it will take A LOT of money to fill them. That is where all the money is going!

And out of interest, where exactly is Joe Kinnear? He seems to have disappeared off the edge of the planet. Although I realise that truly is too much to hope for.

 

I agree but his job security is not at an all time high following a poor performance from him last year (not all his fault but played his part). I couldn't see the board taking kindly to him suggesting we are short, inferring what we already know that they haven't supported him. Some would say spineless, but for me its pure common sense.

As for marquee signings, I don't really agree with the thinking. I'd have been happy with a Long, Rhodes etc. Again though, not a comment to get overly excited or critical about. We all know he is trying to explain someone elses mistakes. It would nicer to hear his real thoughts or nothing at all, but its just an ugly part of his job.

 

Everytime I see him doing a press conference after the transfer window I just keep thinking.....

My brother( who is close to people at NUFC ) told me terms had been agreed on a marquee signing but Kinnear pulled out of the deal when he realised the free bar wasn't included.
