Did Swords just get a 7 day 'vacation' by Syd?

That is pretty much exactly what I said in response. Modding our own boards is enough of a distraction from our reasons for coming on here in the first place (i.e. for the football / club content). The thought of having to mother our people misbehaving / upsetting the order on other boards is not something I'm prepared to do as an unpaid shepherd with a demanding 'day' job.

Like most mods, I didn't covert responsibility in my down time. I was asked to help and did so out of respect for you guys on here. If it even looks like a 'them and us' mentality is developing, I'm out of here. 'Masonics' referring to mods selected from our own number indeed! What an insult.

As I've said before, I try to mod according to the will of my fellow posters. Swords was not banned by me because that will has not been expressed to me. I did post a warning though that site management, in this case Syd, would step in if people took things too far. Clearly that warning wasn't taken seriously.

Hopefully when swords comes back he apologises and people move on like I done. Hindsight is wonderful but it was fair to say I upset fair few on here so only right to hold your hands up.

I think any of this boards' discontent at any treatment is based on the idea that our mods should intervene but that's exactly what we've always claimed not to want them to do (at risk of overpolicing).

You, as per your consistent even manner, have let things run to their natural conclusion. As a consequence and as a result of us not respecting other boards' rules it has come to this abduction Sword's breached the supermod's own rules (written or otherwise regarding cross board behaviour).

A lesson for us all - we're all bound by someone's rules (even the mods).

Brix - keep going mate - you're doing the same fantastic job you always do. I just hope we can allow you plenty of time to enjoy and participate in our humble site that you marshal so well.

Each boards mods seem well respected and liked on their own boards, which of course makes perfect sense else they wouldn't of held those positions.

We on the QPR board have been blessed with fantastic mods throughout, with especially Brix excelling in his role. To lose this would be a great shame, so can we all ****in' behave?! ffs that's not to much to ask.

These boards are still in it's infancy and the traffic is increasing on a daily basis. Last summer was much more relaxed and everyone was finding their feet so to speak. This year it's like and indian summer on here! The dry spell without footie for three months seems to be to much for some, with others on a hiatus this board has turned into a summer pastime filled with alternative content.

My point is this, what's great with this and the original 606 is the interaction with other clubs fans. If you don't want that then go and join an exclusice club board instead. Wum's is part and parcel of it to, all we can do is try not to rise up to it. Either push the ignore button or just ignore it altogether. Where we're at now we can't even pop into the Norwich board without being taken for a wum, this annoys the **** out of me as this is something I really value with not606.

Can't wait for the season to start and hopefully a return to normality.


Sorry if this thread is just another one in the line of keeping this **** going. Question is well and truely answered so the best thing imo would be to just close it if the mods would see it fit to do so.

Norway is spot on and can I add, the last thing I want to do is ban anyone, like you lot I am on here because I am a fan, in my case Sunderland, don't laugh.

I want to spend my time talking about my team, no real interest in QPR until we play you. Threads like this always bring out the police state comments and how anyone can think that is beyond me. 99.9% of people just want to talk football and have an acceptable laugh, a few like to push it, and push it, and push it. We let them, ask them to calm it and explain why, then we warn them, in the end some just wont take a warning so I get rid.

What is a laugh to some stops being a laugh when it upsets, annoys or simple is a pain in the arse to many others, the two jokers banned for 7 days became a pain in the arse and TBH, I cant be bothered pandering for any longer, lets hope they both draw back, sit out the 7 days and come back and enjoy, if not, 7 days becomes forever, not a threat just a statement of fact.

Pastime? Brothers we are all soaked in addictive forum love juice and it's really this easy IMO :

Addiction to the banter and entertainment where you can have a voice... It's replaced the human nature of the old British pub and the opening hours are 24 hours and it doesn't matter within reason where you are on the planet.

I have contributed to and read N606 in Mexico , Dubai . Cyprus, Italy, and France this year alone ... FFS i am sure logs on the same and travels more Why because it's better than any book or any newspaper . The characters that has grown on QPR are all great

I ask take them away what do you have? A bunch of opinions and speculation that are worthless and grey at best ... The colour of the QPR board is by far the best out there and I am sure Sydney the high princess would endorse its has to be the most entertaining ... Why the figures don't lie Newcastle Sunderland and QPR have amazing fan bases maybe the last of a dying breed ... Syd I suggest you find a couple of lady boy mods who speak the asian languages for our board as there maybe a few million new fans to sign up
