Did last summers seasons actually make any significant difference.

Reina wasn't his old self in his final season either. I think we had to get someone in as he was making more and more mistakes. Reina in his pomp was better than Migs, but Migs last season was a better keeper than Reina was the season before IMO.

I suppose you could argue that Pepes communication has been missed though. There's been a couple of OGs that I don't think would have happened where pep in goal, as he would always let the defence know what he wanted to do.

  5. He would have left us last summer had Barca / Valdes not changed their minds.

Not sure I can add much more than others have said.

I was not particularly happy with Mignolet this year although he actually finished quite strongly.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he settles down next season.

Sakho we spent a lot of money on which, at the moment, seems a waste.

He did start well though strangely, so lets wait and see (we don't really have a choice).

We really need a no nonsense, confident central defender in the Hypia mindset who secures the position and we never have to think about it again!

Ilori was signed for the future. Sakho was signed for the present.

Ilori will become a top class player IMO.
