I think that is a bit harsh. I doubt Frimpong has been given a fair chance at the Arsenal. I seem to recall a certain Mr Song, when we loaned him to Charlton... I think Frimpong will come good, he just needs the chance.
He can be a decent squad player. He does need to focus more but he seems passionate so I'll wait until his contract runs out and based on what he does before I judge him.
Good thing we as fans are not directly responsible for gets to play. I think some footballers, just like any of us, brim with confidence and when they are loved. You get some psychos who thrive in an atmosphere where they are not, as that brings out the best in them. Last season we all wanted Ramsey out, he played like a man condemned. By the time Gervinho left, you could tell, he had completely lost the will to play for the Arsenal.
I'd be delighted to be proved wrong. When he first came into the team I thought he did okay, if a bit reckless. Since then he's been hampered with injuries and made more impact with his big gob from the sidelines. I want to see him do well, but I think the comparisons with Vieira are pie in the sky at the moment.
He's abysmal and should be playing in the championship. Anyone comparing to Vieira should hang their head in shame.
