So was Kane being player as a winger/ AMF. When we had a 5’4” Dwarf masquerading as a centre forward.

    racist!

Tbf Walker played his heart out throughout the tournament. There was one point in the match yesterday where he was clearly in agony, curled up on the ground. The ball comes in, he gets up, leaps, heads it clear then falls back on the ground in pain and the stretcher was called on. He wasn't feigning anything, he was genuinely hurt. Respect to him.

I think Loftus Cheek proved convincingly he should have carried on in the knockout stages. The only criticism I have of Southgate is he judged players like RLC and Rashford on ONE game where he made 8 changes, threw them on together and wasn't surprised they didn't gel or put in a performance. When RLC came in with the rest of the side in tact, he was very very good.

Probably would have lost anyway but Hends etc needed some help after 60 mins or so. A formation change, another midfielder, something

And we didn't need 2 forwards up top. I guess Southgate did not want to take his captain off, even though he was struggling with fitness

I don't believe losing was a foregone conclusion. If we'd changed to 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 we would have got the 1-0 win imo.

We shouldn’t have expected to win with all the Spurs and Liverpool players in the team, as they only know how to lose or come 3rd/4th :)

And where are all these English ‘winners’ from other clubs?

Now the world cup is over there’s inevitably going to be club banter going on but during the first 30 minutes of the Croatia game we were getting down the flanks and caused them some angst and a few goals oring chances. Once they started to ramp up the pace and took the midfield virtually all we did was try to go through the centre against a very large defence was not a smart move on SG’s part as it proved to be.

Most of whom played in the England team that lost to Croatia.

They played as a team and lost as a team. To suggest that players from one or two clubs are responsible for that is utter bollocks.

You asked who the winners are and I provided the list.. Half of that list spent most of the tournament on the bench and didn't start against Croatia. I've never blamed Spurs or Liverpool players btw. <ok>
