honestly, if the england side were setup right we should have beat Croatia who had been through 2 extra times.

Mandzukic is not a patch on Kane.

Perisic is decent, Rakitic and Modric are world class but thats where it ends. Brozovic and their right back are solid players.

The rest of their players are average in my book but they played as a team, are well balanced and played their hearts out to push them through.

They exposed our 3 man midfield by pushing our wb's back. As a result we had no out ball and kept lumping it forward giving back possession immediately. THAT's why we looked knackered... we spent the whole 2nd half chasing the ball.

We should've switched to a 4-2-3-1 and controlled the midfield.

Southgate seems utterly devoted to the system, for some reason.
It's worked well for him, but he needs to be able to switch things when it doesn't.
Slow subs and some poor squad selections ended up costing him, in my opinion.

Truth is this....if we all care about England as much as we are claiming to... then you all should be pissed off at your clubs for not producing enough genuine English talent...Spurs did their bit.

The rest of the PL teams are a disgrace, not one decent English attacking mid at any of your clubs.

    Embarassing

They needed more experience in the side.

Even a retired Michael Carrick would have been a good option last night, he'd have helped us stay calm and see the game out.

No point crying about bottling it, the squad tried their best and exceeded expectations.

Apart from Kane, he blew it big time.

We produced the greatest English midfielder of all time and he got bumped for Flabpard and Stevie Me so we started to lose interest.

Possibly yes but if he's nurtured by England through the age groups he should remain English.

Without a doubt Scholes was the Boss..but what about the team last night?

I think Spurs did more than enough by providing the talisman and arguably the most all rounded defender in Trippier.

Who did anyone else really provide?

    Everton gave us Pickford

    Lesta gave us Frankinstein

What did the big boys provide us?

United kinda gave us Lingard..he kinda made a difference just kind of

It's a shame Harry Winks got injured and struggled once he returned from injury

Jesse grafted more than any other player for England, the media kept repeating this.

Spurs players were no better than any of the rest when the heat got turned up and the world's greatest number 9 just vanished into thin air.

Our academy produced more England players than yours in that tournament 3 to 1 so wind ya neck in Mandingo.
