Oddly, I was going to mention Diane Abbott being an idiot yesterday in our conversation about the oratory. I didn't because I like the fact that she supported a Bill to get the Brits out of Ireland. If she couldn't say what she wanted to in 140 characters she should have said **** all. That has become a cliche defence that means **** all. Yes there are issues for the black community. It isn't racist to define it as such. Abbott and Lammy were put forward by their parties to represent predominantly black areas. I didn't hear her mention it then. The fact is, she knows **** all about the people she represents. Nor does Lammy. Their skin tone doesn't make them more suitable candidates, it does make her more electable. I don't know if people are being racist because they are racist, or whether they are being racist because they want to irritate people. It isn't always obvious. Can we develop some sort of code?Maybe the font Palatino Linotype for racist, and Lucida Sans Unicode for irritating?
