If anyone was ever in any doubt about the definition of the word "fickle", this thread should clear things up for them.
I admit I haven't seen as many games as would have liked this season, but thought he was very poor against Blackburn. Partly feels like its a question of working out where he fits in as well. I haven't personally seen his do a lot defensively, and think he's probably best just in behind a front two in a three man midfield. That might also be Maloney's best position?
Yes, Pol, but now Abel's out of the proverbial, the gimlet eye swivels round and looks for another to pile it on...
Hat's getting hard to read, with his habit of sometimes saying the opposite of what he means and sometimes making a serious point. I had originally thought he'd started this thread as a way of pointing out the fickleness of some on here - but then his follow-up comment appeared more serious.
He started off ok, played a beautiful chipped pass to Odubajo down the left, but then got booked & looked likely to lose it! I thought they got at him more & that's when they got on top! I'd drop Hudds before him, can't have both as has been said! Hudds is a strange one, never seems to be able to take a grip of the game like he should when I've seen him, last time was probably v Sheffield Utd, maybe Arsenal at start of last season! Elmo should be dropped, I wouldn't even put him on the bench, I'd swap him with one of the kids & put him in the U21's, see if that wakes him up! Seeing Alex on the bench makes me think we'll switch to 352 soon, which might do Elmo some good, but changing it for one player makes no sense!
It would appear that Diame is still getting over what was a very long absence, give the chap a break.
This 'can't have Diame and Huddlestone' is that gonna be a thing then? Like last year it was Dawson and Davies who everyone said couldn't play together?
Nail on head. I think it's fairly obvious this thread was tongue in cheek. Interesting to note how one person with a reputation preceding them will be labelled a disgrace and 99% were happy to be rid, where as another without that reputation can be guilty of the very same things yet still be held as the messiah.
Bruce probably hasn't worked much out. When was the last time Huddlestone made a serious impact in a game ?
Hull City's Steve Bruce: We need to give Mo Diame more time to find form "Mo wasn't injured, that isn't why he came off," said Bruce. "I think we just have to be patient with him. In my experience, it is all right getting them back on the pitch but there is so much more. "His decision making and his timing is not the way it should be right now. That is normal. It doesn't matter how great a player you are, – and we all know he is a great player -– we have to give time to get over injuries, especially one as serious as what Mo had." http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-28007935-detail/story.html#ixzz3p02jVbcm
You can tell Mo is absolute class. He's been guilty of wanting a bit too much time on the ball but he ghosts past opposition players like they're nothing. He's one of our few (maybe only?!) players that I generally get excited to see what he'll do on the ball. He's better for me when the game is open and he gets to drive forward with the ball into the oppo's half. He struggles a bit when they're half and area are packed and it's all tidy passing on the edge of the area. He's someone to burst through they're line of trenches and make **** happen - he's not one to faff about in congested areas.
I think it's the key area where we are falling down, slows us up way too much. I wonder if the stats say this isn't the case and that's why Bruce isn't concerned, if so he needs to use his own two eyes and figure it out
