Completely agree, especially when that loyalty doesn't go the other way either. As soon as a player stops performing fans want them dropped and replaced by someone better, you can't expect a player to show loyalty to a club if your not prepared to give it back to the player. Look at Rooney, he's given his best years to Man United, broke countless club records and turned down moves to better clubs when they went through their unsuccessful period. In return the fans want him out because he's not performing how they want, some show of loyalty that.
Totally agree. Unless the players turn out for their home town club or the one they've supported all their lives, then it's a job. Simple as. If another company offered us more money every week, better long term security and a massive ****ing one-off payment just for signing we'd take it. Not sure why people give two ****s about this kind of thing, especially when he did it to West Ham to come to us.
It's funny the way fooball fans take players leaving the club as a personal betrayal. It's a job for them, no more, no less. Edit. Sorry BCC (and Polly) I pretty much repeated your view.
No problem with Mo moving on and I consider him a very good player...when he can arsed. Problem I've got is he clearly didn't try his best for us last season. The second leg against Derby was a disgrace. So **** him.
Strange, i find it strange, Mason Henricksen Mbokani signed for us. A basket case of a club. No permanent manager. Not a full squad. Owners who are in the process of selling and a disgruntled fan base with a paltry 14500 season memberships sold. I just cant fathom out why they came here. Anyone?
